So I decided to fill up the gas tank as well. Employees were super friendly. I was able to quickly find the items I needed along with a couple of impulse purchases. But who can leave Buc-cee's without at least one beaver souvenir? Restroom was very clean in usual Buc-ee's style.

That alone was worth the stop, but the rest of the experience was less than expected. By the pumps, there are no windshield washer squeegees anywhere, so you cannot clean the bugs off of your windshield. The pay-at-the-pump interface was frustrating. It would not accept my Discover card. I used my Visa, and it locked into selling me only 15 gallons. The only great part of the refueling experience was the price and the zero wait for a pump because they have so many of them. Also, this location has a car wash, and the purchase option was imbedded in the gas purchase--I didn't want it, but accidentally got it. I guess that would be one way to clean the windows, but be aware as you're trying to buy gas. Inside: The inside is huge. It's like someone took a Walmart and placed restrooms and food kiosks in the center of it. The women's bathroom was awesomely clean. It's huge with individual doored stall-rooms along the walls with green (open) and red (busy) lights above the door, so you can quickly find a stall that's open. The entire center of the bathroom is full of sinks/soap/paper towels. It was spotlessly clean and the highlight of the whole experience. Food: Having seen another Yelp review, we got 2 XXL BBQ Brisket sandwiches and Buc-ee's chips and 2 $0.99 fountain drinks. We also picked up a small bag of chocolate covered pretzels. That lunch cost us $41, and there was nowhere to sit to eat it. The expectation is that you go back out to your car to eat. After being in the car for 6 hours, I didn't want to eat in the car, so we found a lamppost in the shade that we used as a "table" and stood to eat. Service: Everyone working at this location was helpful and friendly, so the service is great. Recommendation: If you are looking for a clean bathroom and cheaper gas--this is an awesome place to stop!! Of course, the cheaper gas price is how they draw you in, then they make up the loss in inside sales, especially food. There are many food choices, which is also good, as long as you intend to eat in the car. If you get the BBQ sandwich, I would get the one without the sauce.

Todd, the owner, has been an electrician in the area for years and recently started his own company. From the very first interaction, he was prompt, professional, and easy to work with. He quickly came out, reviewed everything I needed, and provided a clear, professional written quote (which I really appreciated). On the day of the job, Todd and his assistant showed up right on time and got straight to work. They installed three outdoor lights, added eight recessed lights in the ceiling (no small job!), replaced two more in a bathroom, installed a new light and dimmer switch in a bonus room, and even tracked down a pesky wiring issue that had been driving us nuts. Everything turned out perfectly. They were professional, kind, tidy, and clearly knew their stuff. It's so nice to find someone who takes pride in their work and delivers exactly what they promise. I couldn't be happier with the results and will absolutely have Todd back for future projects. After moving in, I learned that the pool advertised as a heated pool is not heated and has been confirmed by management to not be capable of being heated. There were also periods where the gas grills were not usable, and the indoor dog park and dog spa have had ongoing cleanliness and sanitation issues. I brought these concerns to management and attempted to resolve the situation directly. While communication was professional, my request for a rent adjustment to reflect the difference between what was represented and what has been provided was denied. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision when considering this community.
