If this is the way it's going then it ain't progress. Once you acquire a new Tesla they ask that any issues are raised in the first 100 miles. The steering felt real heavy in comparison to other cars we drive so being cautious it was reported.
The car was in for checking yesterday that took about 3 hours. It was put into service mode on the in - car screen within a minute of arriving at the appointed time so off we went for a Chinese lunch.
On return, we tried their machine coffee pod and their vegetable oil, factory made, biscuits and sat in their quite sterile showroom in near silence.
The coffee and biscuits were really poor (BMW across the way are better by a long way) they are hectically busy and real friendly but here at Tesla it is everything BMW isn't: sterile, boring, dull, grey, creepy quiet and completely lacking any decent human interaction.
We knew from our app that the car was ready with no fault allegedly detected. No one came to tell us, no one even spoke to us as we left the building to find the car for ourselves parked out front between other cars.
Whoever drove it to the forecourt was a less than 30 second walk to the door of the showroom but didn't bother to speak to us nor point to where the car was.
We found it ourselves by making the horn sound, we got into the car and left. I was taken aback by the desolate nature of it. It's deeply unsettling really. In fact it's bloody awful. read more
