They sell the basics (milk, bread etc), together with a good range of baked goods, from quiches and sausage rolls to cakes (some available to buy by the slice), a classy selection of jams, biscuits, chutneys - and a decent array of wines! They also have a cafe attached, which serves daily brunches and, once a week, there's a Friday night supper with a single main course (apella on our visit) though a veggie option is available if notified in advance. This is held in the patio eating area at the side of the deli. When we visited, it was packed with locals and very friendly. Mark and his team made us very welcome. There is parking at the front, and we noticed it has a steady trickle of custom in the morning, including bikers and cyclists.

They sell a huge array of products, ranging from hot pasties and pies to washing powder , alcohol and well evrything really. Location is good really, plenty of room to get buggy in and around, as well as obviously wheelchairs. On a main road so easy accsesible and have a lay by just out side the store. there is also a pelican crossing for pedestrian access.

Second time I've been in and both times I had been followed by the security guard…read more The second time, I was getting some chicken and down the aisle I noticed that he was standing there watching me, I know so because I was the only person down that aisle. After I got some I went back the way I came and he went his way, we both exchanged eye contact untill I went down another aisle, then he went back to his desk. I don't normally complain about stuff and I know they are trying to protect their profits, but this is stupid, I would never steal or create a scene.

I recently got a lovely Corbieres for less than 4 quid - it was comparable to one that cost a tenner from one of the big supermarkets. And there seems to be a lack of chilli sauces in Chatteris but this little shop has the best selection of all, nothing out of the ordinary but at least they sell them which is worth 5 stars in my book.

Admittedly the choice inside is not great and you may easily have to opt for an expensive substitute of an item you want to get. From that perspective it is not as good as the other two Tesco stores. However, there is a petrol station with it and this is much more convenient than the other Tesco petrol filling station at the Hardwick industrial estate for using petrol vouchers.

So Aldi employs one of those parking companies to monitor their store parking. They allow only 90 minutes where other supermarkets give three hours.  Even if they don't get a kickback from the fines I bet they charge a licence fee to the parking company who of course have to make their money back one way or another.  I was thinking of using Aldi this Christmas as a change but I won't now as I like others take a very jaundiced view of what has come to be viewed as rapacious fining of shoppers

There is a wide variety of fresh produce and the usual essentials that you need. As with all smaller Tescos, the prices are slightly inflated but then you are paying for the convenience of it being on your doorstep. It is right next to the main bus stop so no walking about with your shopping! In evaluation, a lovely, friendly little Tescos.
