Being in a country where all the stores close at 6-6:30 can be frustrating. But then I learned about Tesco, and it was a life-saver. Dinner for the night? Check. Toothpaste to replace the one I lost? Check. Alcohol? Check. Open until midnight... what more can you ask for? read more

This store has got to be one of the most annoying shops in Dundee. It is poorly laid out. You struggle to get near the shelves on a week day lunch time and the staff leave alot to be desired Tesco Metro Dundee pathetically small store for a city the size of Dundee, constantly short staffed , long queues and some own brand produce is terrible. Quite often there is massive gaps in the shelves where products should be. Even the entice of clubcard points cannot make me continue with using this store read more

Whatever you do, avoid this store during lunch hour. It's far too small to accomodate the number of shoppers and can be frustrating to navigate around and wait in the queues. Away from peak times, Tesco Metro isn't all bad. Slightly more expensive than it's Riverside counterpart but handier in location. Has a good selection of stock but sometimes can be sold of out basics for a longer time than you'd expect. No car park as it's located on the High street but there are parking facilities nearby. read more

This Tesco never seems to have enough staff. It's right in the centre of town so it's always jam packed but there are never any staff on the shop floor and the managers seem to always be shouting for assistance on checkouts that never seems to materialize. Some of the staff are downright rude and some are scruffy and unkempt. It also doesn't seem like the cleanest shop in the world. Come on Tesco, you can do better. read more

This store is a Tesco Metro and is beside lots of other shops on the main street that leads from one main shopping centre (the Wellgate) to the other (the Overgate). It is what you would expect from a Tesco store and being a metro it only stocks certain things - no clothes or extra items - it is designed for the essentials although I am sure you could do a main shop here if you wanted to especially if you were a student that could not make it out to the main stores. The downside of this store I would say is mainly the long queues - it does seem to take a while standing there and it is always, always busy. I don't know of its opening hours. Anyway there are a good range of food and household items and also sandwiches and drinks for people working in the town at lunch time. read more

Poor by tesco standards

This Tesco is conveniently located in the centre of town which is great if you need to pop out for some milk or cat food. The Riverside Tesco is much better and a lot larger, but is a bit of a hike. The only problem with this store is that the queues are always huge, even though they have recently installed more self-service checkouts. read more

This tesco can be a nightmare. It is right on the high street and so it doesn't have its own car park, it really is only suited to popping in for odds and ends. It is quite well stocked and they have a good selection of pastas, fresh bread, and sandwiches but they run out very quickly at lunch time! read more
