I love the promotions that the store puts on because the products can range from household to gardening to sport and everything is such good quality at very reasonable prices. I have tried a lot of their brand products and have found them to be of excellent quality at a low cost. One thing I love about all their stores is that the layout is similar and this makes the task of shopping that much less time consuming. The smell of freshly baked bread is very appealing and again of good quality at affordable price. I still can't understand how a trolley full of groceries can fill your cupboards and still leave change in your pocket!

I love the way that each store shares the same building model so you don't have to wonder the aisles for hours on end. I find each LIDL uses local produce which is a massive plus. Everything is high quality but low prices, great for any home on a budget or otherwise. I also love the specials that they have. You can get great stuff for your home, car or even holidays including skiing if you time it right. If only they delivered!!

The Mace on Brunswick Road still fresh fruit and vegetables outside the shop, market stall style, flowers are also available to browse, in fact im sure there is all sorts of greenery outside the shop. The beauty of the Mace is that it is open all day every day throughout the year, yes that's right, this includes Christmas day, so if Santa sneaks in and steals all your milk you can pop to Brunswick Road and replace what the chubby chap stole. They also deliver papers all year round and have both commercial and private contracts with local businesses. The staff are courteous and friendly and have built up a large client base over what seems like the thousand years this place has been open.

Asda moved into the main street to a little bit of consternation due to the fact that they took over the car park that was home to Bangor's market every Wednesday morning for a number of years. But once a sharing agreement was sorted out people have been happy with the addition of Asda to Bangor's town centre. You can get everything here that you would expect and at lower prices than Tescos for the most part. I, for one, think that the pasta and sauces you get here are great and you can't really go wrong with them. The staff are helpful and polite and the selection here is excellent. There is a handy car park that is free if you spend over a fiver so you can't be bad to that. It may not be the most ethical of places to shop, being owned by Wal Mart, but for price and convenience it is hard to beat.

Staff couldn't be friendlier and it has a great selection of goods that are generally well priced( many small local shops are exorbitantly expensive!!) You genuinely could do a decent weekly shop in here which I would say is a godsend for Groomsport's generally older population. They even sell bottles of Maine lemonade so if you are feeling nostalgic and fancy a Sarsaparilla or American Cream Soda this is the spot! Another great factor in it"s favour is that it is open 7 days a week 9am -10 pm so it is a real life saver when there is something you need and the supermarkets are closed!

I'm a fan of their vegetarian foods and Sainsbury's own brand items (love Sainsbury's Nut Cutlets and veggie mince). They have the best labelling of all the supermarkets with all their own brand products clearly labelled as to whether or not they are vegetarian or BUAV approved (not tested on animals). In addition their brand match scheme ensures you don't pay more with Sainsbury's than with another supermarket. As per Sainsbury's website "When you buy ten or more different products, we'll tot up the comparable brands in your basket. If you could have paid less at Asda - even because of the deal - we'll give you a coupon for the difference off your next shop." I always use my brand match vouchers at my next Sainsbury's grocery shop. Plus their wine selection is superior to all other supermarket selections. Quality store with unbeatable prices, pleasant to browse and lovely, helpful staff. Perfect. At Christmas and New Year Sainsbury's have a special range of fabulous food you can order and collect in store, I would especially recommend the: *Three nut roast with cranberry sauce *Butternut & mushroom en croute *Limoncello buche de Noel If you want indulgent, treat foods try Sainsbury's 'Taste The Difference' range. The supermarket has all the stuff you would expect and more, and is a good place to get all your weekly shop done. They have a very large fruit and veg section, complete with salad bar if you are that way inclined, with a very large delicatessen meat and cheese counter. The store also has a large range of magazines, books, CDs, DVDs and games, and is always worth a check for a better price if you are about to buy a recently released item from HMV. As for the rest of the store there is a large range of everything as you would expect. The store has its own cafe which is good for pacifying those who have been dragged along or those who have worked up a hunger in their arduous shopping trip! The store also has installed self scanning machines, which is a real boost to customers as they can get in and for a few items much faster than in the past! They also have a surprisingly large alcohol section with a really good selection of spirits and wines. There's no dedicated parking for this Tesco but if you're lucky you can get parked across the street in the parking bays. Theirs is an ATM outside to add to the convenience. I really like this wee Tesco Express - it has everything the larger stores have! My only slight problem with this store is the fact that they have 2 self-service check out but they never seem to be working/accepting cash which means that there is always a big queue for the 2 other checkouts.

That being said It can get jam packed in the forecourt, the price of the petrol being the reason. But if you want to save a few pounds then it is probably worth the wait. The shop itself does not have a great selection of goods, it is really small but stocks the usual convenience items such as milk, bread, cigarettes and sweets to keep the kids quiet. This is a convenient location to have a petrol station as it is in the grounds of Bloomfield's shopping centre, ideal if you want to get your grocery shopping and petrol all at once, then you can spend the pennies left in your pocket o things you actually want.

Located on High Street next to Bangor's various drinking establishments it has acted as an oasis for many revelers selling water and cigarettes . The Wee Shop has a night hatch meaning it stays open late specifically to accommodate these needs. More than just an oasis, The Wee Shop is a newsagents and a small grocery store selling the essentials. I noticed yesterday that it also sells e-cigs now too, so if you want to ditch the tobacco on a night out this is your place. You'll always get friendly service and a we bit of banter from the staff, no matter how late it is. This has been a staple of High Street for many years and long may it continue.
