Smaller than the Tesco Extra, but still pretty big and also has clothing and a pharmacy. It has a Photoshop which always seems to be shut and it doesn't handle it's queues as well as the Extra. Staff are generally not as helpful. read more

The largest of teh Tesco stores in Aylesbury, has a good range of clothing, footwear as well as electrical items (tvs etc). It also has a pharmacy at the back of the store. I usuallu use the smaller Tescos on the other side of town and do find this one rather large and tiring to go around but it does make a change once in a while. There are alot of tills and we have never had to queue too long when going there, it has a huge car park and a petrol station.

It seems to be busy alot of the time but I find it has a feeling of being disorganised compared to the other Supermarkets we use, the lighting seems to make the shop feel depressing in my opinion. Has a good selection of the basics you may need and has some good bargains on non food items sometimes. I'm afraid its not my first choice of Supermarket but is useful if you are in town and want a few groceries rather than having to make another car stop on the way home.

I generally like Sainsbury for the odd thing, and I often go here for their cuts of meat. For some reason they do seem to be tastier with less fat on them than some of the meat available from the other supermarket chains. It also looks like they are starting to fight back to gain their market share again with all of the recent TV advertising and Jamie Oliver everywhere. Every so often you notice some of the offers in store are really good value.

Parking can be a problem, you need to park in one of the main car parks, which if you have bags of shopping can be awkward. People do stop outside the shop to pick up but watch the yellow lines and traffic wardens. This does put me off shopping there and because the items are cheap its surprising how quickly you put items in the trolley and how much your bill comes to at the checkout. A great shop if you having a party and want lots of cheap party food.

Find it exhausting doing self service on biggish shop. Mentioned this to member of staff there. She took immediate offence and placed her hand on front of screen and said shall I call the manager? I said no I want to pay and go as have appt, so could you move your hand please. She replied don't be rude to me I'm trying to talk to a colleague. I said I'm not being rude but I do want to pay and go. A manger arrived, just what this assistant wanted, I worked out, so she could play the victim role. Unbelievable as of course they are all in cahoots with each other. Spoke to a very pleasant young woman on customer service. I explained and said I don't like being accused of being rude. I had not risen my voice, or swore. I am very unhappy that you can't even express an opinion without being accused of being rude. This assistant knew exactly what she was doing. Thinking about it I wonder is it because Co-op were on the news yesterday saying about the abuse they have to tolerate? Which I am totally on staff's side for. However this is unpleasant and manipulative with her own agenda. The manager appeared to be under the influence of this assistant too. Bit concerning.
