The store inself is quite big you can buy books, dvd's, clothes, toys, tv's, electricals as well as groceries. I don't think there is as much choice or variety as the old store had but there is a lot of extra stuff like non grocery items that there weren't before. The queues are always supprisingly short in this tesco store there are a lot of tills and self scans to use. The help dest is inside the store rather than near the door which is a bit of a pain it is like a one way system so it is annoying to have to do another lap to get to customer services. The Tesco also has a garage where you can buy some items such as sweets, milk, rolls, car stuff and snacks. I like this store but the car park stresses me out!!

Drivers entering and leaving the store were harassed into drinking free samples of regular beer and cider in a sales push. The floor of Tesco was filthy with mud and earth on this date. Tesco management and the authorities who gave the alcohol licence should be thrown out of the EU because in my opinion they are insane.

Then in the space of a few months two of the big players popped up - Tesco Metro at College Green and Sainsburys Local in Broad Quay. Each can complete with a much-needed cash point in the area. Previously, people had to either walk halfway up Park Street to the HSBC or halfway down Baldwin Street to the Alliance and Leicester. Sainsburys Local is your bog standard Sainsburys Local but it looks much nicer and newer. It sells the usual from sandwiches to chocolate and soup to milk and eggs. It's also handy for the smokers in the nearby office blocks. I don't know about you but I'd much rather shop at Sainsburys than Tescos and now you can if you live or work around the city centre in Bristol.

They have two…read morefloors, and have large departments of Womenswear, Menswear, Homeware, Children's wear, toys, games, health and beauty etc. I've always found the womenswear to be great here - lots of choice and lots of availability in all sizes. The mobile phones aren't quite so great though, you have to wait such a long time for an assistant to be free to help you on this section that its not worth it - I'd rather pay a little bit extra and buy from somewhere a bit more reliable elsewhere.

Definitely take a detour from your trip to the supermarket for this place. Fresh, ripe, and neatly presented, the produce is excellent. The range is better than most supermarkets, with things like rhubarb and celariac making guest appearances. The staff are friendly, and give a real community to the place. The prices are much lower than in the supermarket and being in Clifton Village there isn't really much of a 'supermarket' to shop in anyway. Anybody who has lived here will tell you how glad this independent fruit & veg shop is here. Perfect for grabbing some strawberries and sitting in Victoria Square on those lazy lunch breaks. Everything they sell is tasty, you can tell they're experts, from the chillies to the melons, they also put their stock out in front of the shop, which creates this beautiful outside market stall effect with the large outside cafe next door. They sell pot plants and fresh locally made apple juice with your choice of rhubarb or ginger to name a couple of combinations.

It's a pain to park, they do have a couple of spaces but they are rarely free. This isn't too much of a problem for me as I normally walk. There is also a cash point outside which is handy. It's a small store and it's fresh produce is really limited so don't go there if you find yourself in need of something other than the normal carrots, potatoes, apples and bananas etc! The staff are friendly and you can pick up some amazing bargains in the reduced section if you time your visit right.
