Ordered an initial appetizer of the potato wrapped shrimp and it did not disappoint, well actually nothing did. The passion fruit drink was delicious and the sushi rice actually had the correct flavor to it. Not just plain. Which is not always the case. Very satisfied overall and the presentation was well done with some added "smoke" for a more dramatic entry. The waitress even added additional so I could get a better photo. I will be returning.

I wouldn't expect such good sushi in Germany, but they know what they're doing here! The presentation of the sushi is also quite the experience! Good drinks, fairly priced, and great ambiance. They're usually pretty busy but we've never had to wait for a table. Last time we went we waited a little for food, but they seemed to be pretty busy. If you ever find yourself craving sushi in Amberg, this is the spot.

As with restaurants in Germany, the service wasn't spectacular. Our initial interactions were great. Not too long to order and wait for food. But after food was served it was a ghost town for service. Even the dessert took 20 min. I would say it was busy and that's why, but it was Saturday night and nothing outrageous. We're not sure what happened. Our waiter was very friendly though, so that counts. As far as food details go, my husband and I shared one of the meals for 2, and were satisfied with the quantity, taste, and price. We started with the gyoza, which were standard, but tasty. Our sushi for two consisted various rolls on a boat, and we each got their chicken miso-type soup as well. Also very good! Everyone at the table ate every morsel of their food- I guess we enjoyed it! :) Definitely try this place out if you're looking for a good sushi fix. He said that I could if I paid for both the uneaten dish and the new one. I didn't want to pay twice so had nothing else and let him take the inedible (to me) soup away uneaten. So today, over a 9 Euro bowl of Udon, this restaurant has lost all our future business. We paid 30 Euros for my husband's sushi, my uneaten soup, and some water, and will never return. On top of that, if running your meal on a credit card, it seems a very slow process here as well, just to let you know (my colleague had a frustrating time with getting the transaction complete). Bottom line: An A-OK lunch spot, not outstanding but not bad either. There are a few speed bumps with service and getting transactions completed in timely manner but it serves the purpose for getting a lunchtime sushi fix.
