The front axle leaf spring broke on our trailer in Johnson's Village near Buena Vista. The tires on one side jammed together so we literally couldn't move. I tried Google and all I found were RV parks and rentals. I called one, and she gave me Terry's number, but also said he's hard to reach because he's the only RV repair in the valley. I got him on the first try. Luckily, he wasn't too far. We'd found a large vacant parking lot before discovering we couldn't move, and waited. He said it would be an hour to an hour and a half, which was pretty accurate. He is a mobile repair and also does work at his shop in Moffat. He took it apart to find the problem on site. We have an old rig and smaller apparently than what parts places locally stock. It was also after hours. He was sure he could get the part from Denver by two days later. So he put in an axle crutch with chains to hold everything in place temporarily. It got us the next 60 miles or so, to where we were going. He called later that night to make sure it held together. Sure enough, the part got to him, and he came up to install it, as predicted. We haven't driven on it yet, but it looks secure. We feel he charged fairly and is also a nice, personable guy. He will travel 150 miles from Moffat. We will have him do more work the next time we come down because he knows what he's doing! Highly recommend Terry. All he did was caulk around the trailer in various places (Not where my leaks were located). Which obviously did nothing for my leaking RV. On top of this he charged me $200 in which he would only except cash. So I am unable to get my money back or the repairs done. I was told to caulk around my window myself to stop the leak, which I did but did nothing to stop the leak. I would not recommend this guy read more

TLDR: Terry's a fantastic RV diagnostician, a hard worker, and exactly the guy you'd hope to run into in a pinch. We were on the road in the Colorado outback when the furnace in our little Winnebago trailer would spin up, but then stop in 30 seconds, still cold. I figured it was a low battery, because I'd seen exactly that pattern in our previous pop-up. So I replaced the battery and we headed for the high country. By the time we discovered that the furnace still didn't work, we were camped at 9700 ft.; it was 41° inside in the morning. We hauled down to the only town of any size within 75 miles. The one RV repairman there said our problem was the altitude; the furnace was oxygen starved. But we've camped that high with this trailer without this problem, so we knew he was wrong. So we hauled over a major pass to a somewhat more populated valley. By good fortune in timing, Terry--whose service area spans thousands of square miles--was coming into the valley for another job, able to meet us in a parking lot in a couple of hours. It wasn't easy, but he finally got to the root of it: a tiny bit of fluff, about like pocket lint, had jammed a critical switch mechanism deep inside the furnace. Terry's knowledge of the system, diagnostic skill, and astonishing mobile parts inventory saved our bacon. The price was right in line with what I'd expect. He's a great guy, too. We had a leak in our RV that needed to be fixed. We had the parts but didn't know how to do the work ourselves. After calling several RV places who wouldn't/couldn't work us in, we were given Terry's number. He was able to help us the same day, fixing and improving our initial issue, and even fixing another other item that was on our to do list. Our fifth wheel suspension shackles broke and we limped our trailer into Quartzite Arizonia just before the big RV event. We went to several RV locations before we able to locate a repair facility. They stated they could do it in 3-4 days form now. I realize it was very bad timing for us. WE booked our repair. When we entered a RV Park to stay a few days this mobile RV repair truck was leaving this park. I quickly jumped out stopping Terry. He looked at the task ahead of him and said ok but was busy the rest of the day (this was around 4 pm). Terry asked me to call him and leave my number. He returned my call at 8 pm willing to come to our rescue right then. I declined this time know Terry had already worked a ton that day and we agreed to the next morning. We called Terry for an appointment last fall to winterize our RV and perform an annual inspection (required for our warranty). He assured us he knew the area where we were parked and made an appointment to meet us there. He blew the first appointment and said he'd lost our number. This man came out to Salida, Co and replaced my converter electric box in our rv. Since he replaced it, my electric bill has been $300 to $400 a month! He returned to check it and blamed the rv park. Since then, I have moved to 2 different rv parks and nothing has changed. My rv is ruined and I have to sell. Nobody can figure out what this man did to my electrical system. No rv should use 1500kw of electricity a month when it's beautiful outside and nothing is on. I do not recommend this man. I don't think he knows anything about motorhomes. read more
