The technition stated that he could not complete the tune up because the unit turned off and he was not able to continue. While he was talking I tunred the airconditioner on and it did not turn off and started cooling down the home. He did show me a list of of all the replacment parts but stated that due to the new presidential administration even the newest systems are now outdated and I will need a new unit. He offered me $1000 coupon for a new unit and a service contract. I asked if he cannot work on it why would I need a service contract, he assured me that purchasing a new unit and the service contract was needed. I turned the airconditioner off two hours later because my home was very cold. He left at 5:35 PM. I am wondering if the appointment was earlier and not past closing time would I have been able to get the tune up I paid for? I called about a fairly noticeable leak and realized we needed a new gas water heater installation…read more The manager, Dave, called me that evening after looking at the pictures I sent him. He gave me a very reasonable estimate, in fact, several hundred dollars lower than 4 other plumbing companies I contacted. He could tell by the photos I sent him that there were a few new items & changes that needed to be put into place to bring the new water heater up to current code. He then scheduled someone to be here at 9:30 a.m. the next morning. The plumber who showed up, David, was very polite and was following Covid guidelines with wearing a mask and social distancing. He had to work in a rather tight space within our laundry Room and add to make a couple of runs to get some items he did not have on the truck. but he said there would be no charge for the time that he was away from the job. He was very careful in his work and cleaned up everything. I did have to help him move the dryer out of the laundry room so we could have enough room for the new water heater which was a bit bigger than the old water heater. He also had to re-adjust some pipes in the wall and so he cut through the dry wall to do so but made sure the wall was was properly patched re-sealed and looking good. He cleaned up and took all garbage with him. I was honestly VERY impressed. When I received the bill, I expected it to be on the higher end of the estimate he had quoted me, but to my surprise, it was $25.00 lower than his estimated quote! I would highly recommend Evans Plumbing Inc. and I know that when I need plumbing services in the future I will be calling Evan's Plumbing! Also, the office staff who answered my call and whom I spoke with to pay my bill, were each so friendly and answered my questions in a kind and knowledgeable fashion. Kind Regards, JCS
