I get stupidly excited when I need to visit Chemist Warehouse. This place is huge and stocks…read moreeverything from vitamins to nail polish and herbal supplements. There's even a doctor's service at the back if you need to see someone for a prescription. The ambience isn't that crash hot - think bright lights, generic music and loads of signage written on fluro paper that might quite possible send you in to a fit. But the range is huge and the prices are quite competitive and I I like that I can come here and buy all sorts of health and beauty items in one go. It's a win for me. Don't miss the superfoods and protein supplement aisle if you're in to making smoothies at home.

Since then, I have used this place many a time. For me, any stubborn headache or severe toothache tends to conveniently turn up post 6pm, when most chemists have closed leaving me unable to get strong pain killers (or on one occasion, a sudden late night attack of hay fever. Completely random I know!) It's great to know that this place is open until 12am every night.

You can't find anything. The local chemist has closed up shop for the night, so if you want anything even slightly more powerful than whatever your supermarket sells, you're not expecting any relief. Well, thankfully, Nunawading Pharmacy is open til midnight. These guys have saved me on more than one occasion. There isn't anything particularly nice about running out of whatever medication you're taking to keep you healthy, so it's good to know there's somewhere that you'll be able to get prescriptions filled after 9pm. The service is pretty typical of an average chemist ("have you had this medication before?", "are you allergic to anything?"), but it's really the 9am-12am (except Sunday, when they close at 11pm) availability that I go there for. In fact, when you think about what it would be like to work in a chemist that's open that late, opposite a really busy McDonald's, the staff are lovely.
