The first one he bragged no other dentist would…read moreconsider doing with my low of bone density but he talked me into it saying he was the "best". 7 years later and the implant has failed and my new dentist has told me after reviewing my original xrays it absolutely should not have been done in the first place. When having my second implant done, Dr Kim incorrectly inserted my IV causing pain all down my arm and keeping me from going to sleep. When I tried to alert him to this he told me to "shut up" or I would "ruin his good work." leaving me awake and in pain for the remainder of the procedure. The only saving grace was the nurse who put the gas mask on me every chance she got, leading to me telling myself I was just a car at the mechanic so the drilling into my face was standard procedure. I am still traumatised by this experience, leaving me shaking and crying for even the most basic dental cleanings. I have sat on this review of his horrible bedside manor wanting to believe he had at least been successful with a difficult case of an implant but now that I am having to spend time, money, and revisit trauma to have it removed it is more clear than ever Dr Kim cares more about his ego than his patients. DO. NOT. RECOMMEND.

I had a referral from an emergency dentist with the paperwork from said dentist and was asked repeatedly why I was there by the employee they had the paperwork took a consultation fee and looked once in my mouth and said I am surgeon there is nothing to make money off of here. I was with my partner who was in same room as a witness to this. Dr. Seaman sent numerous texts to my sister who was speaking on behalf of me due to The medical emergency I was having and needed an advocate - while he was in another state at time of my appt. He claimed she was not accurate in the details of my terrible experience at his office. He wasn't there and I have a witness to the entire ridiculous exchange w his employees. I had some medical appointments in March 2025 so we scheduled (text below) that time. I get a call about not having an appointment a few days before my appointment. I was then told I would get a call to let me know if the dentist would be at that location. If not, she would tell me where to meet. I received a call today, while sitting at the appointment location and was told the dentist was not there and she called me beforehand to let me know. I did not receive a call. She told me she would reach out to the dentist to contact me to revise my changes. I have not received a call. So I am thinking, I paid cash up front and I get this type of subpar service. There were signs but they were subtle signs. I should have read the reviews. My question to her was why had I not received a text or voicemail when they first knew the dentist would not be there? Omega Dental on West Gray do not apologize because I leave the states in three days and I am stuck with less than three weeks of replacements. The quality of care is disappointing. I am glad I did not fly over for only this appointment!

They also accept most major insurance providers. The staff is very professional and handles things like checking insurance and scheduling appointments efficiently. As in - no appointment and only the promise to call me when an appointment could be made - which I guess is never. I have tried to follow up with phone calls without sucess. Hold times at the apointment desk been up to 12 minutes. I have never had this experience before. It is not unusual to have to wait weeks for a specialist aoointment, but for the office staff to be unable to set an appointment is brand new to me. So this office is badly run and I suggest you avoid it.

He is very positive and optimistic in talking with his patients which is very important when dealing with such a scary surgery. He puts you at ease when it comes to surgery and makes it seem effortless. He did a fantastic job with my daughter's double jaw surgery which was a complicated and special circumstance surgery that was lasted 6 1/2 hours. I would definitely recommend him for jaw surgery. I even spoke with one of his residency students who spoke highly of him.

I was at their Sawyer location and have now moved to their Montrose Collective location. There is ample street parking or validated parking garage. There is also valet available during certain times. Their office is on the second floor by the stairs. Their office is welcoming with windows and open spaces and art pieces. It's nice to see the same cheerful front desk staff and hygienist and dental team. There is pleasant music overhead. Chairs are comfortable and rooms are tidy and clean. They are just an outstanding dental team who takes good care of their patients and give good recommendations. I'm going to have my filling looked into for next time, but it was done by their team in 2011and no issues. Their team does mouthguards and clear retainers. Very good value. It's nice to be able to sit back, relax, and just have my dental needs taken care of. I fully trust them with my dental health! Highly recommended for all your dental needs! So: I went to Bayou City Smiles yesterday for my first visit. I recently left my dentist because I was not very satisfied with their service and had questions about how they were submitting claims to my insurance. I was immediately impressed by how I was greeted upon walking into Bayou City Smiles. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! The space itself is very nice and is in the very conveniently-located Montrose Collective. Everything looked nice and new! My hygienist was Tu and he was absolutely amazing. He walked me through everything and made sure I was always comfortable. He had great technique and was not heavy handed at all. He was also genuinely interested to know more about me. I didn't feel like just another customer. He was very knowledgeable and he even spent time checking me for any potential signs for cancer by doing a lymph node check and thorough neck/throat inspection. That was a nice plus! As for Dr. De Guzman, he came in after my initial inspection and made sure to talk to me about what everything means and gave his professional opinion on next steps. I immediately felt at ease with him due to his friendly and insightful demeanor. Dr. De Guzman immediately made me comfortable with his approachable manner and I knew I made the right decision to switch dentists. He had answers for all my questions and assured me that they can take care of my immediate concerns. We put a plan in place and I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit! And I just have to give special mention to the ladies at the front desk. They were all very friendly and proactive in helping me figure stuff out like how to transfer my current Invisalign treatment and gave me all the information I would need to file claims with my secondary insurance. They weren't just rushing me out but made sure I understood the next steps. I'm very happy that I decided to try Bayou City Smiles and wholeheartedly recommend them.
