Construction and renovation loans can be intimidating, but Amy has a deep understanding of the process and a calm, solution-oriented approach. She walks clients through every step with clarity and patience, making sure they understand their options and feel confident in their choices. I've had several clients work with her on fixer-uppers, new builds, and first-time purchases, and they've all had positive experiences--and in many cases, saved thousands of dollars based on her advice. Kelli was amazing throughout the entire process of buying our Sudden Valley home. She was promptly on time, flexible, and showed us a number of properties. We knew what we wanted, sent a list ahead of time, and she scouted the availability. She saw that we were on the fence between two homes, listened to our back and forth about what we liked and didn't like, and offered insight where she could without completely influencing our decision. She never made us feel pressured and offered to show us the same place multiple times so that we could be sure of the place. Often times a person might only be able to see a place one or two times before buying which is strange considering people live in their homes for a long time and it is one of the most expensive purchases a person can make in their lifetime; but Kelli made an effort to show us the places as many times as we needed to feel excited, motivated, and confident about our purchase. She even helped us arrange the inspection, gather information on contractor bids so that when we counter-offered we had what we needed to back it up, and referred us to some really good contractors that we've already used and have been pleased with. We've used Haulin' Ash for our fireplace, Bellingham Mold for our moldy attic, and Bishop Builders (Larry) for windows, dry wall, and general builder stuff. Thanks Kelli!

Come to find out, they were not licensed or insured. And insisted that all four parties (us, him, the home owners, and our real estate agent) split the cost to repair the home. So, we were out cash prior to even getting the home. Overall I just thought he dealt with our situation very poorly, and unprofrssional. We just had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience dealing with Jon, who represented…read morethe seller and we were buyers. Just 3 days after the listing went live, we arrived for a site visit and made an offer $35K over asking price, and in a very slow and challenging market for sellers, due to ultra high mortgage rates and virtually no turnover of inventory on the market. We presented out letter of pre-approval and met all of his very time-sensitive milestones to submit our bid. In return, he repeatedly ignored his own stated timeline and deadlines to reply, dragged this out for 4 days, and then told us the reason for his lack of follow-through and timely communication was that he was skiing! We did not make a lowball offer - it was a generous offer, backed up by a pre-approval letter form a very prominent and respected mortgage broker, and he treated us with absolutely zero respect or consideration. Finally, in frustration, we withdrew our bid, which may have hurt the seller as well. We advise in the strongest possible terms to avoid dealing with Jon Hansen or the Hansen Group, this was a nightmare experience, and so unnecessary. Of course we are disappointed we didn't win the property, but that's not the reason for the review. The review is because throughout the process, Jon showed absolutely no professional or personal respect or even basic consideration for the value of our time or good intentions. Whether you are a seller or a buyer, you have many other choices for a real estate agent in Whatcom County. Look elsewhere.

Buying our new home was something that started as a casual search. We weren't working with an agent, but after checking in with Jay for advice, it quickly became clear that we wanted him in our corner. Though the search was outside of his usual area, Jay dove into the Federal Way and Auburn markets with focus, curiosity, and care. Our first offer was on a home that felt like "the one." Jay made the long drive to be with us for the pre-inspection and helped us clarify not just what we wanted in a house, but in our future. We didn't get that one, but it brought us closer to our vision and strengthened our trust in Jay. A few days later, we found the home we were meant to have. Jay acted quickly, helped us craft the right offer, and ultimately helped us win it. Now, we're settling into a home filled with warmth, charm, and light. Our cat, Garçon, is in love with the sunny spots. We adore the yard, the character, and the energy of the space. It feels like the perfect place to grow our future together. After that, Jay helped us sell our condo of 9 years. It was a big emotional decision, and Jay was the perfect partner. He supported our desire to stay in the driver's seat while offering sharp insight, thoughtful guidance, and calm, expert presence. He advised us on pricing, staging, and prepping the unit to shine. Thanks to his strategy and care, we set a record sale price in the complex, even in a tricky market. When the buyer's financing hit snags, Jay stepped up and helped us and our HOA secure FHA approval with HUD to make the deal happen. That kind of above-and-beyond effort truly defines who he is. Jay made both buying and selling feel easy, human, and full of heart. We're so grateful. We truly can't imagine working with anyone else, truly.
