It is bringing up a lot of emotion to even write this because of the way I was treated. I came in, nearly being carried by my husband because I could barely walk. When I got to the room, I was bawling, shuddering with tremors, and could barely get a word out, let alone explain what was going on. Instead of listening to my husband, he decides to force me to speak and gets irritated when I can't get much out. The nurse asks me what typically works for me in situations like these because I also suffer from multiple chronic and painful illnesses, so I answered that it just depends. Sometimes a medication will work for certain pain, sometimes it won't, and I didn't know how else to answer. So they ask about Norco. I said no, because I'm already taking that daily for those chronic illnesses, so it's not likely to be effective. The doctor ignores that, gives me 1 Norco, which was no different from what I had already tried before going in. I told him after 20 minutes that nothing changed and he sent in the nurse, who then told me he would give me something for anxiety and to relax. Bitch, I was NOT having anxiety. I was crying from excessive pain and I hope you experience every single BIT of pain I do every single day. You know exactly who you are, Mr. Football is More Important Than the Patients I am PAID to give a shit about. So, we obviously left 'against medical advice' when he refused to even speak to my husband, and he had to practically carry me out in tears again to go start the process OVER again elsewhere, where I got immaculate care. SO, anyone thinking of going here, save your time and money and drive out to Greenville's ER if you have insurance. Trust and believe these people do not care one iota about you. You should absolutely fire the useless doctor you've got up there. Seems like maybe the little tyke would have preferred to be in the NFL. He should have availability to watch it 24/7 because he's the worst doctor I've ever been to, which is saying a whole hell of a lot with my medical history. I will never come here again and I actively tell everyone I can to avoid it at all costs. I hope you get shut down. You deserve it, especially after reading these other reviews. Genuinely, seek a different career. You suck at this one. Thanks!

There have radiology and lab work onsite - so you don't have to go to another place as a rule to get work done. Doctors fulfill prescriptions with their laptops and straight to your pharmacy electronically so you don't have to run with an Rx script in your hand to a pharmacy. I wish the seating in the waiting area was more comfortable. When you're sick with a fever and waiting for an hour to go in for your appointment, it would be nice if there were comfortable leather couches instead of those stiff wooden chairs. I am not a fan of the billing here. I will go in, make my copay, then see the doc and leave. Then about 6 weeks later, I'll get some random crazy bill for $300 - or something. Nothing in the bill indicates that your insurance may still cover this - so if you pay it, good-bye money. These are cycle bills - a waste of trees and heart-attacks, because if you just wait a while, turns out your insurance covered most of it - but not always. The doctor I had in Denton several years ago knew how much lab work cost, how much medicine cost and what was covered by insurance. I so appreciated him! I never got surprises. Here, it's like a new surprise every time you visit. I find it very aggravating that the people here don't know how much things are going to cost and they just send you for this or that. I hate having to come in and make a copay just to get a prescription for an anti-fungal - it's not like I'm getting an exam. My other doctor was far more considerate of how much his patients had to spend out of pocket. If it wasn't 160 miles round trip, I'd still be going to my doctor in Denton.

If I could give zero stars, I'd give one--because I survived. Barely…read more Let me start by saying: I died here. Literally. Coded. Flatlined. Whatever euphemism you prefer. I was dead. And the documentation I got afterward read like someone was filing a mildly annoying IT support ticket: "CPR was initiated and ROSC was achieved." Cool. Thanks for the thrilling novel. I guess coming back from the dead just doesn't get the drama it used to. To whoever performed the CPR: I don't know if you were trying not to scuff your scrubs, but I'm wheeled out of there saying, "Whoever did the compressions didn't even crack the intercostals." That's not CPR. That's jazz hands on a corpse. The cause? I underwent a bronchoscopy while in full-blown undiagnosed adrenal crisis. Stress steroids? Nope! I was sedated and scoped like a Thanksgiving turkey. Ten minutes later? Flatline. And here's where it gets good: No neurology follow-up. None. I came back shaking like a paint mixer at a coffee convention, couldn't remember my own birthday, and the chart reads like, "Patient hemodynamically stable at the time of visit." Yeah, I was also dead during the same visit, but sure, let's call it "stable." Apparently, short-term memory loss and hands doing the Harlem Shake don't rise to the level of a neurology consult. Maybe they thought I was auditioning for "So You Think You Can Seizure." Echo? Pending. Follow-up? Also pending. Pulse? Pending Neuro? Missing in action, just like half my memories. This wasn't medicine. It was a Lazarus act with paperwork written by someone who missed the show. So what did I get for dying and being dragged back into the land of the living? No apology. No proper diagnosis. Not even a box of cigars. I had to fight to even get someone to believe I coded. I left that hospital sicker than when I entered, and I've spent months since recovering from what happened. If you're looking for a hospital that listens, diagnoses, or performs basic CPR with enough force to actually restart a heart? Look elsewhere. If you want someone to downplay a cardiac arrest like it was a mild WiFi outage, this is your spot. Came back to consciousness hoping for a cigar and a "welcome back" steak. Got dry mouth, hospital lighting, and someone saying, "You're lucky to be alive." Really? Then show it. Where's my plaque? My parade? My free pudding cup? Pro tip: if you die here, do it with low expectations. And maybe request a neurologist on standby, because apparently, coming back shaking and confused still isn't enough to get one. Would not recommend. Still alive, somehow.

To the Administration of Baylor Scott & White Emergency - Forney,…read more As a new resident of Forney, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I received at your emergency room. I arrived at approximately 10:00 PM seeking immediate assistance for a cut that required stitches. Upon arrival, I noticed at least 20 people in the waiting area. The intake staff were unwelcoming, and after receiving a wristband, I was told to wait. I sat for one hour and 45 minutes while actively bleeding, and I overhead several other patients complaining about wait times exceeding three hours. Due to the lack of urgency, I chose to leave and drive 20 minutes to Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall. I was seen immediately by a pleasant staff with no wait time at all. As a Black person, it is distressing to experience such poor service, which unfortunately aligns with the negative experiences many minorities face at facilities like yours. While Forney is growing rapidly, the current representation of care at Baylor Scott & White is unacceptable for tax-paying citizens. I hope the city considers providing residents with better healthcare options, as your facility failed to provide even basic timely care.

The last time a doctor called me stating they saw and infections in my lab work and they wanted to send me drugs. But they did not see it until after I left.
