Reading these reviews I must ask what went wrong with our job?…read moreWas promised 6 weeks, It's been over a year. When will this nightmare end, Mike? Enough is ENOUGH! Do not recommend! Addendum post to owner as of 3/10/2023 This past year and (almost) 1/2 you kept going to the same supplier who was sending not even close to matching pieces of 7 foot stair nose. Telling us you're not responsible for it that you are simply the middle man. The manufacturer is responsible for it. We soli interfaced with your manager representing your company. We have never spoken to the owner until the posting of this review. You are in fact 100 percent responsible for the completion of our job. It is the responsibility of the owner or it's representative to assure that you are capable of getting all matching pieces and wood grain within it's color lot to complete the job before accepting it and providing a timeframe when it would be completed. When we spoke on the phone last night9 3-9-23), your greatest concern was "you are destroying my company over a piece of molding. Your greatest concern wasn't that our job has taken well over a year to get accomplish when promised six weeks - your greatest concern was all about you, and you know it. Your main concern was your reputation. As a matter of fact, you said to me: "You are destroying my companies reputation over a piece of molding". My response back to you was: "It may be just a piece of molding to you until it becomes your piece of molding" (you then hung the phone up on me) This is almost a 7 foot piece of molding in between two 7 foot pieces that do not match. When the sun comes in off the ocean and hits that wood it looks awful! This is not what we agreed to and we will not accept it.. It should be criminal that you have put us in such a mental state to where we have to do something like this to get our flooring completed. Our one and only phone call, you literally begged me to remove my review, at which point I told you I would not until out job is complete and after my mental anguish has settled down. Perhaps in a year. To be exact this cost us $52,641.91 between you and the company you chose to install your product. Your wood product should be your masterpiece where it speaks volumes of your company. Sadly in our case it is not. I'd be utterly embarrassed trying to justify your actions at this point. If you choose to continue, I will continue with the entire series of actions that will bring in your installers. Please put your justifying energy into doing the right thing owner and get our job completed! That is all we ever wanted. We are gravely disappointed.

Indian River Flooring - Elegant transition between tile with 3.25" baseboard and vinyl with 5.25" baseboard

From consultation to installation, Indian River Flooring got the job done the right way…read more The good: 1. The salesperson was honest from the start about scheduling opportunities. Other companies strung me along, promising and then reneging on install dates. 2. The sales floor is nicely laid out with plenty of space to arrange different samples on the floor for comparison, and with good quality artificial lighting plus lots of sunlight through the storefront windows. 3. The owner is generous with his time and respectful when answering questions. ...doesn't come across as a self-righteous douche. 4 The installers were a master-apprentice pair. The master has ~5 years of experience and was able to answer all of my questions, give me advice on how to maintain my new vinyl floor, and was generally a pleasure to work with. The apprentice was also a nice guy and I could overhear that he was learning quickly on-the-job as the master provided guidance but didn't micro-manage. The two are a good team. The bad: 1. I didn't like that tarps were not used to cover my furniture and other interior items when cutting down the existing baseboards. Same goes for cutting lengths of new baseboard outside on my driveway with my garage door open. Everything got sawdust on it. I had to throw away food and also a standalone ice maker. I tried for weeks to clean the ice maker to no avail. 2. My dining room previously had carpet, meaning vinyl was to be installed on bare concrete. The room is connected to an adjacent foyer by a ~10 ft entranceway the foyer is tiled, meaning there is a height difference. I had two options to handle this situation, use an asymmetrical transition molding or "ramp" the floor with a self-expanding concrete that creates a gradient from the higher tile to the lower concrete. I chose the second option and regret it. The ramp is too short, making the decline noticeably steep. Having the ramp also makes the space less usable because tables and such cannot be placed on the angled floor. Having the floor span the foyer and dining room in one continuous pattern is pretty, but the sacrifice in functionality isn't worth it. BUT, the solution worked just fine for my hallway tile-to-concrete transitions. The excellent: Check out the pictures for a cool solution the installers cam up with at the transition between two different floors/baseboards. (I still need to paint.) In the end: With all that said, I do plan to have the company do more work in the future and I recommend them to others.

After visiting the showroom, I chose a slab that fit perfectly and secured a very good price with the owner, JJ. A template was arranged a few days later, and the project moved quickly to demolition and installation. The vanity and countertop look fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend Island Homes and Renovations for your next renovation project.

We met with the sales person who provided us a plan cost for the renovation. They were very limited as to what they could do. The one thing that I did not like was that it would've been piece fiberglass type of modular unit. The other thing I like was that it would've required a step over into the shower space. We went to Island Homes and Renovations showroom in Vero Beach and met with the owner J. J. first of all the showroom is gorgeous and has many different examples on display. They had a large variety of tile and fixtures for us to look at as well. JJ is so knowledgeable about the renovations and homes that he was able to give us a ballpark price of what we were looking at as we find tuned the details of what we want. The price was just slightly higher than the other company, but it was exactly what we wanted. So we decided to contract with him and we could not be more pleased with the result. It pulling permits and inspections, which is what we wanted and we got exactly what we asked. The entire experience was well worth it. The new shower is gorgeous. It was very easy working with JJ and his team. They were always on time and they were immaculate with whatever process they were involved in. I cannot speak more highly about them. And I highly recommend Islande Homes and Renocations for your next project especially if you want a high-quality job to be done.
