My two favorite dishes were the mushrooms + poached egg and Iberian sirloin with mojo picon. Each dish was about 3-3.50 euros which is amazing given the high quality flavor of everything we ordered. The table next to us recommended the wild boar cheeks and TripAdvisor seems to agree, however, I felt it was slightly salty for my taste and therefore preferred the Iberian sirloin. That said, the meat was tender as ever.

Although there was a sign on the door that said they took credit cards, we were told that the machine was down and it was cash only. The closest ATM was a couple blocks away. When my husband went inside to pay, he noticed that there was a handwritten sign hidden behind the cash register that mentioned it was cash only. Emphasis on the "hidden." Had we known it was cash only, we wouldn't have gone. Still, it was pleasant to sit on the patio and have a drink and a little nosh after a long day of walking. If you can find another option for food and drink, pass on this place. If you decide to try it, bring cash.

Three Michelin stars…read more Visited Cádiz and specifically stopped here one evening for dinner because of a recommendation from a friend who visited recently and couldn't stop raving about the tuna. Let me be clear-- the tuna was amazing although I might change some of the selected plates for the following reasons. 1. We ordered the tuna topped with ice cream. This was an interesting/creative approach although I can't say I loved it. The tuna is already served cold so having the ice cream melt just didn't feel like the right combo. 2. In my second pic, the tuna is piled on top of two small spinach-like leaves (which were perfectly salted and added an amazing balance of flavor I must say). 3. By far, my favorite dish was the tuna and the brioche buns. Truly fantastic. I would've ordered two more plates of this. 4/5 stars only because the service was OK. Our waiter was less than enthusiastic and seemed bothered when we sat down and asked for her favorite dishes. As it was our first time here, we wanted her recommendation for which plates to order, but felt disappointed by her response. If you're looking to try an upscale meal in the city, this was a solid spot.

The ambiance like most restaurants in this area is very casual with only outside seating. The seafood was super fresh, literally you go to the cooler/fridge outside the restaurant and pick the fish you like. We also tried their fried seafood including the cazon en adobo which was delicious and the ortiguillas ('sea nettle'), which is some sort of shell creature that had an interesting texture. The shrimp tortillitas were also good.
