Besides the quaint town of Ses Salines we stayed in, we also liked the town of Santanyí also on the southeastern part of the island for its small-town feel and flair. From cafe selections, closeness to the beach, chic jewelry shops to some of their natural+earthy shops, it's practically all here in this town. Not to mention, their large and popular Wednesday Market that starts in the morning and runs a bit past noon. There's also a Sunday Market(?).
After haggling and purchasing maxi sun dresses, minimalist jewelry, etc, we wanted a smoothie to hold us over til lunch and TerraOrigens popped as a smoothie spot. But, this is so much more than a smoothie gran-n-go.
TerraOrigens covers 2 (or 3?) floors and triples as a home decor shop, ceramics and, their cafe- ALL in the same footage. You can access the top floor by heading to the back leading outside. Expect to queue quick if you want to score a table for indoor bites- or, for a to-go beverage like we did, we jumped right in.
TerraO. is filled to the brim with organic items for every part of your home- minus the heavy-duty furniture. From candles, textiles, kitchenware, serving ware, it's all eye candy- but this is expensive shit that's cute to look at but for me, not necessarily worth it. As for our smoothie? It's definitely not a typical 'smoothie' consistency and more on the runny side. read more
