Bloom Lake Barn - Bloom Lake Barn Getting Ready Room

Its an old dairy barn, if thats your idea of the perfect wedding venue then yay for you. Property…read moreis not handicap friendly so keep your guest list in mind. No concrete paths, the ramp to upper level is steep and gravel, stairs to upper level are steep, and no elevator. Food service was terrible, took over 2 hours to get everyone their food, wedding we attended started at 4, hang out from 430 to 530 doing nothing dinner started at 530 and my table didn't eat till 745 and by then everything was cold. Now we will hit on beverage service, $6 for a 12oz can of beer, $9 for an 8oz cocktail, no water at tables but there was a small jug at the bar that was constantly empty. Temp control is another issue but to their defense it is an old barn. I personally don't know why these venues are the current craze but if it was me shelling out the cash id look somewhere else thats more guest friendly....

AMAZING.... That is the word to describe everything about this property! My sister got married here…read morelast summer. The grounds are super well kept, the hosts (husband/wife) went above and beyond with making sure everything was in place for our families special day! There is a beautiful space off to the side for the outdoor portion of the ceremony with authentic church pews, so so pretty! The barn itself is super spacious, plenty of room, I loved the wing area, which was perfect for the dance floor space. The food/catering/bar service company were all very awesome. Food was very tasty, servers were very professional and the bartenders made it a fun evening! Plenty of parking with a beautiful walk up a ramp leading into the barn. There is also this gorgeous outdoor patio with a cute fireplace outside, this was great for people to find another place to socialize throughout the day. Having a bridal suite and groomsmen room onsite was also a huge plus. Both had lots of space for everyone to get ready. I highly recommend you to check out Bloom Lake Barn to host your wedding or event!

She took the time to walk us through all the flavor profiles and we ended up leaving with 4 bottles of our favorites. We tried five each and they all were delicious but four stuck out and we will be back. Great time, good food, lovely atmosphere and Darla! Highly suggest looking for this gal she is a treat...

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for wine tasting…read more First, the venue is beautiful with a nice spacious area for dining, a large bar for wine tasting and a large outdoor patio with views of the vineyard. In the main dining area, there is a stage for bands. We walked up to the bar which was full but found a spot to squeeze in. The wine tasting area had several wine servers behind the bar. We waited for quite some time before a wine server greeted us and asked us what we were interested in tasting. We asked what was offered as far as wine tastings as it appeared there were a couple of different wine tasting events taking place. She looked at us with confusion and asked what we were interested in tasting. We read about the cheese and wine pairing so we said we would do that. We asked about each of the wines and she put the wine & cheese sign with descriptions in front of us and asked what we wanted to do. She couldn't really explain the wine herself. Again, confused why she is asking that since it's 5 wines with a 5 cheese pairing, We said we will just go down the list. She brought us complimentary wine glasses and poured the first wine. She also handed us cheese on toothpicks we all had to figure out how to grab from her fingers. Perhaps a plate or napkin? We waited for about 15 minutes before she came back and she looked at us and said no one is helping you? We thought she would but I guess not. We proceeded down the list, jumbling the cheese on toothpicks, and waited for the next tasting but we were forgotten once again. It took a while but we made it through the tasting. I'm a red wine person but the red wines were sour in my opinion. I realize this is WI and not CA or France so obviously the wine is different. We did buy a couple of bottles of their Pony which is a Rose as well as the ale Crescent. We wanted to purchase a couple of the different cheese that we tasted but they didn't have any to purchase. The venue is beautiful and a great place for events. The wine servers definitely need training in how to service guests and learn about the wine. Also, no one wants to eat out of someone's hands. At least provide napkins they can hand the food to the wine taster with a napkin. .

What a fantastic community space and outdoor recreation center! Totally makes winter in Minnesota…read moreeven better. I'm new to discovering The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Regional Park, but believe me when I say I'll be back many more time. In the winter, they offer cross-country skiing and lessons. (You can rent a full set of gear for about $30- no need to have your own to experience skiing! They also have à la carte options for cheaper if you only need poles or boots, etc.) Besides skiing, outdoor winter activities also include snow tubing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.... You name it. (I haven't been in fall or summer yet, but I also hear great things about their mountain biking and trail running options.) Inside The Trailhead, there's food and drink concessions, ample seating, lockers, bathrooms, and even rooms for rent. The last time I was there, a family was hosting a young child's birthday party in the multi-purpose room. Altogether, there is an amazing assortment of services here to come and check out. Can't wait for next ski season!

The building is a perfect space for bringing a large group together for games, chatting, eating, and sledding on the snowy hills just outside the doors. They used to serve hot food, but they no longer have that option. The food was not consistent or anything all that special, but it was a nice option. This time we brought Thanksgiving leftovers and some breakfast bagel sandwiches. The space is well maintained and clean. It is spacious and has lots of room for young kids to run around and not be a disturbance. Always look forward to coming here.

Absolutely lovely venue for a sweet country style or shabby chic wedding! They had a gorgeous barn decked out with chandeliers and comfortable seating. Lots of extra little modern touches of chalkboards that they had beautiful writing on them for the wedding. The outdoor seating for the actually wedding had nice solid planted benches- not teetering- which is alway my odd fear when having to opt for bench seating. It was a beautiful set up. They had some funky fun pieces too. A giant rooster and the standing tables outside had some fun or nice quotes on them. The quirky, wordie gal in me loves the fun random find of what was written in the tables. They even had a posh 3 bathroom, air conditioning outdoor potty rooms. Both for men and women (no, I resisted checking out the men's but I was dang curious if it was as nice as the ladies side). They also had ample parking, which is always a big appreciation for a city chic like me. My only complaint...it was hella hot in that barn!! For an 80 plus degree day, I would say they are not set up as well as they could be for moving that hot air. Should I EVER decide to marry again, I would totally consider this venue...in a cooler month.
