Terminex Review Where do I start? First, for those unaware, Terminex is no longer an American company. It was purchased by Rentokil in Great Britain. Secondly, the North American Region CEO, Brad Paulson, is such a poor manager, he won't publish the company's corporate address, corporate email, or corporate phone number. This says a lot about the company you are dealing with. Regarding our personal experience, Terminex sold us termite protection that we did not need (State of Alabama won a lawsuit regarding this), sold us rodent protection then failed to provide covered services on said contract, and billed us monthly for services they refused to do. Then add on to these legal fraudulent issues, they refused to show up for appointments with no explanation why, refused to return phone calls, and copped an attitude when we had the audacity to complain. Do your homework and checkout the exterminator completely before you contract with them. Terminex does not stand behind their product and the CEO does not stand behind the company he manages. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I'm talking to an attorney about a class action lawsuit against them. With Terminex, buyer beware. read more

Do not use this company for termite tenting. Completely botched the job and the subcontracted company they used to do the tenting broke my soffit, my fence, and garage door. They told me tent would go on Thursday morning and would be taken off Saturday morning to air out. We checked our camera and the tent wasn't on Thursday afternoon, they told me bigger projects take priority. Thursday night they want to tell me they had an equipment malfunction, so tent was going to go on Friday. Well the tent doesn't go on until Friday at 4:00 p.m. but then oddly they show up Saturday morning promptly first thing and take it back off so when I was supposed to get tented for over 24 hours now I've only had my house tented for 16 hours. Then they want to start walking everything back "oh you only need 13 hours" even though the Vikane spec sheets say 18 hours minimum. They did not seem to care that they breach their contract they had nothing they were going to do as far as customer service and hand-waved everything. this would be Bob the saleman and his manager also Bob with terminix. Completely indifferent to the botched job and they we're happy to point out the waivers that were signed for all the damage to my property, instead of at least pretending like they care and trying to make it right. Their inability to seal the entry points to my attic after setting traps is indicative of their ineptitude. As a result, my home is now permeated with an overwhelming and repugnant odor that is enough to induce vomiting. The distress I currently experience can only be likened to a traumatic ordeal. Upon reflection, it becomes evident that their performance can only be labeled as a bait and switch tactic, or worse, a manifestation of their sheer incompetence. My grandparents found 3 bed bugs in their Home. Terminix convinced them to pay nearly $1700 for treatment. We paid to have the service done. 4 days after treatment my grandfather was bite and my grandmother found 2 bed bugs on my grandfathers pajamas. Terminix treatment is not working and due to the expensive and unsuccessful service! This is sad as I live out of the state and could not get this company before they chose to go this route. I cannot begin to tell you how irritated I am with Terminex Pest Control in PSL. I have had Terminex service for a number of years now and just lately every scheduled service has been a complete disaster. You can no longer speak to anyone you basically do everything thru text messages. Terminex will not work with you on any type of scheduling. Cant get service inside unless I take off from work because they dont work late or on weekends and when i do take off work, they send the wrong people out. After asking to speak to a manager and not hearing from anyone in a week i called the Customer Service number and CANCELLED MY SERVICE CONTRACT. I Signed up for a year of pest control.(four quarterly sprays) I asked when I signed up if I had to physically call and renew it. They said "yes" so a year goes by and all of a sudden money gets tight so I think "ok well at least my Terminix contract is up so that is one less expense. Boy was I wrong. March they come and spray just the outside because no one is home and I get a bill for $80. I call and tell them "I don't want to renew, I can't afford it, please stop coming to my house and charging me for it." they say "ok, sorry." June comes and GUESS WHAT they are on their way to spray my house and bill me ANOTHER $80. Luckily I'm not home but my wife is and I call her and she stops the technician before she gets started. Meanwhile I'm on the phone pleading with the office to cancel my contract. Luckily I haven't seen them since and I will 100% never do business with them ever again. read more

Loved Terminix! Then I didn't love Terminix... :( We had a great technician, although I didn't see him often because he just generally sprayed outside and would leave a note on the door that he had been there. I trust the "experts" to tell me what I need and they said that was sufficient. When I did see him, he was very very nice, friendly to my dogs, and reassuring that whatever product they used was safe for animals. Then one day, Nice Guy was out and so Mean Replacement Lady came. Well she was a female but no lady. When I said I had gotten the date confused and thought she was coming the following day (to explain why I was in my robe with wet hair - quite a sight I'm sure!) she responded by saying SHE wasn't supposed to be there at ALL, and complaining that she wasn't getting paid to cover Nice Guy's route. Then she told me again... when I told her that sounded like something she should work out internally rather than telling a customer, she told me she didn't get paid enough to deal with my attitude. Hmmm. I asked her to leave as she was already turning to leave... let's call that a draw. So I call the local Terminix number to complain (I pay my monthly fee, I'd like to get some service!) but instead get a Random Disinterested Rep in a call center who, upon hearing the story, actually began to sound like she cared. She promised to have the manager call me RIGHT AWAY. Well the manager Chet finally called and left me a message. He sounded more interested in whatever he was eating than in my issue (really it was gross), and later when we spoke to him he said the Mean Replacement Lady had said I cursed at her. Liar Liar pants on fire! Bye bye Terminix. We decide to go with a local company and they came out and did their assessment and found 2 problems that Terminix had missed in all their visits. Yuck! Well the problems have been/are being fixed but again - YUCK! So even if you don't care when people like Mean Replacement Lady (Melanie) are rude and nasty, and if you don't care that management (Chet) doesn't care, you should certainly care that the company you are paying is not doing what you are paying them for. Of course, I've told everyone about this and they said "You didn't know that Terminix has a terrible reputation?". No. But I'm passing this along so you won't be fooled too!!! read more

Been with them for 15 years. Found subterranean termites, my son did. They come to treat and did not notice them. So I have to tell them and then asked for options. Initially the person I was speaking to on the phone seemed genuinely concerned with me getting a resolution. Then they sent someone to check my property. This after the day before my property was serviced and no mention of termites. He was not friendly at all and took offense to me pointing out that while they were experts and have been treating my property for years, my son had to find the termites. He simply told me I needed to find someone else to service my home. This after 15 years. I called Terminix and explained what happened and asked that they chat with the serviceman and call back. Guess I was thinking they wanted my business. No call back. So I am searching for a new pest control company. After a 5 minute search I found 2 five star companies in the area.
