The inspector came to my house and claimed I needed termite treatment (in a concrete elevated house). The treatment cost over $1,000, but I needed the inspection, and assumed she was being honest. She left and the treatment guy showed up to treat the termites (from truly Nolan). He looked around and said he saw no evidence of termites anywhere on my property. I immediately canceled the treatment, gave him a big tip and filed a claim with the better business bureau. An independent inspector from homestead gave me the "all clear" for around $100. Obviously there are good people that work there (I really appreciate the honesty of the gentleman that was going to do the treatment) The lady that did the inspection is a criminal and a liar. Javier replied promptly and I called the office to make the appointment. The appointment was for today (Friday) between 12 and 4:00 p.m. I have had quite a bit of work done on the house over the past year and I have not had anyone who needed a four hour window, but these guys do for some unknown reason. I made the appointment and gave them all the necessary information. On Thursday I turned off my phone for work and after work I go to school. I often don't turn the phone back on until the next day. On Friday I saw that they had left three voicemails confirming my appointment. First of all, a service call does not require a confirmation. I gave them my address. I had agreed upon a ridiculously large window. All they had to do was show up. Again, I have had a lot of work done and I have had close to 20 service people at my house giving me estimates. Not one of them ever confirmed the appointment. Later on I saw they had texted me, confirming my appointment from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. That was not the time I had agreed upon. Either this was a mistake, or they had changed the time of the appointment without checking with me. Either way it looks like incompetence on their part. I waited all day and they never showed up. At 3:00 I texted Javier again and let him know that I had an appointment and asked if he knew what time they planned on getting here. He never replied. The end result is, I wasted an entire day waiting for a company that never showed. I assume it's because I did not confirm the appointment, but I did confirm it. I confirmed it when I made it. That is all the confirmation that any company needs when they have my address. It's not like I can sneak out on them. They know where I live. Instead they chose to be highly unprofessional and simply not show up. This is inexcusable and a poor way to treat a potential customer. Particularly when that customer was brought to you through Yelp. They should have realized that it would end up with a bad review.
