I then gave him the square footage of our house and based on that he gave me a ballpark figure of what it would cost. He said he would let the office know we are interested in the service and they would contact us within the next day or two. That never happened. I waited a week and I contacted them. They said they would set up a technician in a couple of weeks to come out. He came out and inspected our house and wrote up a quote. I agreed on the price and he said they will call to have a technician come out and apply the pesticide. We never heard back for weeks and once again they did finally come out a few weeks after that. Once he completed his (Josh) job, I made out a check to the company. Six weeks later I get an invoice indicating that we owe them for the service. WHAT THE HELL!! Apparently the technician lost the check and the office did not receive it so through all the BS we have gone through now we have to cancel the check. The only accomodation they are going to give us is credit for the cancelled check for $35.00 which that is what the bank charged us. Nothing else. Nothing for the stress or headache we experienced through this whole nightmarish ordeal!!!!!! The office manager was very appoligetic but also continued to talk about how good of any employee this Josh technician is even though he lost our check. The office manager Amber never offered us any kind of compensation for our stress of them loosing our check. She said it was not up to her to do anything for us. Needless to say we WILL NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! INCOMPETENT _ _ _ holes!! Maybe this employee Josh will loose more customers checks and eventially get FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!

The service did nothing for the spiders though, and after two years, anything I set outside still gets covered in cobwebs within two days. Now, I don't know if they changed their formula or what, but the hornets are back in numbers, and I'm forced to buy store spray to kill them. No sense in paying for both, and since Orkin was costing me over $1000 a year, I called to cancel. Instead of cancelling me, they promised to contact me with a more affordable plan. Their ACTUAL response? Crickets chirping! So I called again, this time insisting they cancel my service, and the operator I talked to said she did cancel it. Well guess what when I checked my bank balance today... sure enough, they charged me almost $60 AFTER I was told my account was cancelled! Now I have to go through the nightmare of having that $60 returned to me. I thought Orkin was a "trusted name" in exterminators, so I'm very disappointed with them and their shady stalling tactics...

I have been under contract with this company since January. That should mean that they are, by the…read moresame token, under contract with me. They have been here to treat my house 6 times in 6 months. I have asked them on the first visit to treat for cockroaches and mice. They treated for both the first time they were here. I saw less mice but more cockroaches. They agreed to come back since it was the first treatment. When they came the second time, I asked him to go back to his truck and get the sprayer and still use the bait. He said "using the sprayer just stirs up the mix" but I was insistent so he got it but he was mad. He started pointing a flashlight at everything and said it was my fault because my house was dirty. He must have decided not to treat for mice because they came back. I was very upset because the mice had destroyed all of my underwear as well as quite a bit of bedding and I had ran about 9 loads of clothes and bought replacement underwear and the bedding we lost. I told him they were coming from the bookcase beside the fireplace. He didn't want to look but finally slapped a bag of poison right in the middle of my hearth! He never stayed more than 10 minutes and always just left without a word. The mice came back and ate through a cardboard box of things that had belonged to my deceased grandparents. I called them back for both. A different guy came and treated and gave us a list of things we had to do before he came back except I never saw the list if there was one but the regrigerator was pulled away from the wall so I assumed he wanted it cleaned which I did. The night before his visit, I stayed up until 4:00 a.m. cleaning out cabinets and rubbing them down with ammonia and mopped. I didn't get finished because my husband, who is handicapped, fell and I had to get him up. The next morning, the second guy showed up and I told him I had to help my husband go to the bathroom but I would be back. While I was helping my husband, this guy just left without a word. We called the office and they said that we didn't do what they asked so they wouldn't come back. My husband told them that since all they want to do is lay bait, it shouldn't matter whether we cleaned to their satisfaction. They don't bring the sprayer in unless you ask and they are hateful about it but they simply put these roach baits in the back of cabinets and under the sinks. They still said no! The reason the cockroaches got worse was because they never got it under control in 6 visits! I haven't been able to put my silverwear in the drawer since last year. We probably have four times as many now as we had in January. I am upset for so many reasons. It always shocks me when service people are just mean to your face but some people are just crappy. I'm upset because we can't have any drinks or food that we don't have to completely cover if we set it down. Now that he didn't treat, all of my dishes, baking dishes, pots and pans and appliances are on my dining table and in my car as well as all of our cleaning products. I can't put them back because the bugs are still there. The way I see it, they are under contract with us until December and they are refusing to treat my house by just placing baits in the house and I do not want to see either of those two men again. This is the only recourse I have because they only get good reviews be shown on their website (shocking!) and they are refusing to honor the contract and being very mean to us. My husband can't even walk and I had a child die in January and when people are unkind to me it's just too much and I always end up crying from the frustration and it brings my grief forward. They have no way of knowing that but they should be kind to everyone. I am a customer who has paid $173.90 to them this year and this is how I have been treated.
