FOOD **** Our tour guide recommended to try one of the free local drinks. My wife tried the rice and I tried a tamarind bean drink which were good. The buffet was similar to what we experienced at the Cenotes trip. However, we both agreed that the freshly made corn tortillas were better. Still this ranks higher than the Dolphin Discovery which was more Americanized food. The dessert with fruit selection was far better with orange slices and watermelon slices. GIFT SHOP *** Afterwards, we were bored so browsed more at their gift shop which is huge. I think I saw similar items at Chichen Itza from the local stands inside the park. However, you can pay by credit card here whereas the local stands probably only accepts cash. The added benefit to wait for Chichen Itza is that you can probably negotiate on price with the local stands. Behind the store, there is a hut with some artifacts you can check out on your own. Overall, it was worth a stop but maybe hold out for Chichen Itza if you have extra cash on hand to spend.

There was a lot for kids of all ages to do. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Overall it's a great family friendly establishment.
