My husband and I have been here numerous times, always sitting at the bar, enjoying great food,…read morecocktails, and an awesome experience with the staff. It's always been one of our favorite spots. Unfortunately, today's experience with my in-laws was a completely different story. We sat in the dining room, which had maybe four tables occupied. Our server asked for our order before we even had water on the table. After we ordered drinks, he continued pushing us to order food. We explained that we weren't in a rush, but the pressure continued. Once our food arrived, our server never checked in to see how everything was. My father-in-law's burger was overcooked, and the overall service left a lot to be desired. It's disappointing because we've always had such a great time here. **If we return, we'll stick to the bar.** The bartenders and bar staff have consistently made our visits enjoyable, but unfortunately, the dining room service really put a damper on today's experience.

I was in Somerset for a conference, and by the time arrived I needed lunch. I wandered into Mahana…read moreFresh and found a calm little dining room with only a handful of tables occupied. The young woman at the counter greeted me with genuine enthusiasm and patiently explained how to build a bowl. The setup will be familiar to anyone who has visited one of the many assembly line quick serve spots that have multiplied across America, but the ingredients here seemed fresher, healthier, and considerably more interesting. Then came the surprise. I ordered a vegetarian bowl. Not because I had planned to. Not because I had undergone a spiritual awakening. It simply happened. I chose cauliflower rice, Sriracha honey Brussels sprouts, Buffalo cauliflower, roasted mushrooms instead of a traditional protein, and creamy wasabi sauce. The young woman kindly asked if I was a vegetarian and pointed out that they offered tofu. I declined, partly out of stubbornness and partly because the bowl already looked complete. Everything tasted excellent. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding. The Buffalo cauliflower had just enough kick. The mushrooms brought a satisfying earthiness to the whole affair. If I have one small complaint, the cauliflower rice was a little dry. Fortunately, the creamy wasabi sauce solved the problem immediately. What impressed me most was the service. The young woman who helped me at the counter later came by my table to make sure I was enjoying my meal. That sort of attention is becoming rare enough to qualify as noteworthy. The restaurant was spotless, the food was flavorful and the people were kind. Not much more you could ask for. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for another bowl.

I can feel good about everything I eat here knowing that it's all pretty good for me. The pricing is very fair considering the quality of the ingredients. I usually make my own bowl and my favorite protein is their tofu. I love the cold noodle base; there is something so comforting about them. I've tried pretty much all of the veggie options and I must say they are all great! And their spicy Mango Pineapple Vinaigrette is so so good with anything! It actually packs a pretty significant punch. The people here are always super friendly and the restaurant is vibrant and clean.

I had the mixed lamb and chicken with rice, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The garnish of carrots and raisins on the rice added just the right touch of sweetness and texture--such a beautiful balance of flavor. I also grabbed a side of their kofta kebab, which was tender, rich, and full of bold spices, and paired it all with a refreshing mango lassi that was smooth, creamy, and the perfect way to round out the meal. Every bite was delicious, and the service was just as impressive as the food. Stopped over on Saturday between 5 and 6 and it was empty - just a couple of employees and the previous owner / perhaps co-owner now - and the dining room was quiet and for the most part empty but the phone was ringing for delivery orders. Place was clean and tidy and would have definitely ate here but needed to get home. I had one thing on my mind - a Padrino Wrap - crispy chicken, fresh mozz, and roasted red peppers and fries. You might be thinking this guy went all the way over there for a wrap and didn't get any pizza. If the wrap is any indication of the rest of the cooking/prep and values this place maintained over the years - even under new ownership - I am willing to bet that the pizza now is still just as good as it was years ago. Don't sleep on this place - if you're visiting or from the area, Lubrano's is the casual Italian dining spot.

This place operates in a very shady way…read more I ordered a MEDIUM pizza with chicken, Alfredo sauce instead of marinara, and some veggies. That's it. No upgrades, no premium options, nothing out of the ordinary. At pickup, my husband was told the total was $25. After handing them a $100 bill, he received $65 back. When he questioned why the change was wrong, the employee casually said, "Oh, it's $35." The price literally went up $10 on the spot. When I called afterward to question the charge, they claimed it was a "special pizza" with "special cheese." That's a complete lie. I have a photo of the entire pizza -- it's a regular, basic medium pizza. No special cheese. No justification for $35. The pizza tasted average at best, nowhere near worth that price, and the customer service was rude and condescending, especially when my husband questioned the incorrect change. Between the price switching, excuses, and attitude, this place cannot be trusted. Avoid unless you're okay with prices changing depending on the moment.
