The color used doesn't last more than about 3 weeks at this salon so she did the foils on top. While I'm told my hair grows fast, I know from experience, it's also the color used & the way the highlights are put in. My last, Jan. 26, '21 visit Nancy argued a lot when I asked for longer top & side layers even though it's what I've had done at other salons for years. After arguing she really hit me w a high price, for no reason! All along this visit for roots & top foils was $64; this time I was charged $114! $50 more!! I asked why?! Prices went up. How much? I have never had anyone do my hair other than her, so I can only say that the other ladies in the shop are always friendly and helpful. I can't say enough nice things about this place! I have long hair and to get a trim and highlights is very reasonable. In the past, I have paid almost double to get the same things done. Also, the atmosphere makes you feel like you are at someone's home, not some uppity salon. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes past my scheduled time and have never, in nearly eight year, had her cancel an appointment on me. There are several hair salons closer to me, but I choose to drive here because of the relaxing atmosphere, prices, and the relationship I have with my hairdresser. (Ladies, we all know how important that is!) If I had to nit-pick and say one bad thing about Suzie's is that it is a small business, and therefore sometimes it takes a few weeks to get an appointment. You can't just call up and expect to be seen that week. Also, they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. So, if you are a fan like me, go ahead and schedule your next visit at the end of your appointment.

Very friendly and personable, but more than that she listened to everything I asked for in regards to my hair cut. I have lived all over the place and have had to find stylists while living abroad, in Texas, in a couple of spots in CA and now in PA. I hate finding a new stylist because you never know what you'll REALLY get. I read a great review about Nina before deciding to give Pure a shot and I am so glad I did. She got my length on point and helped me decide how the cut would work into some of the vintage hair styles I am wanting to try out. I will be back to Nina for color once I am ready for a refresh. Can't wait!
