I finally had a chance to walk around the whole campus for couple hours recently. Just found out there is a very nice and beautiful garden right in front of the dental school (south campus). I highly recommend it especially if you have a pet, it is a very pet friendly campus. The student store and bookstore still looks the same as 20years ago. A must visit are the Beautiful Powell library and Royce Hall at the north campus, and the lovely amazing garden and trial at the south campus. Love this school! Go Bruins!

Most recently, I was here to run in the Autism Speaks Empower 5k. I parked in the underground parking structure 4 which was convenient since the race started and finished in Wilson Plaza. Visitor parking was $13 for 3 hours and $17 for the entire day. While the campus was really nice, there were quite a few homeless people in the surrounding area.

It may be a tough commute some days... it may be expensive, but I have attended public university and private... the public system seems to be stacked against success. You can't get the classes you need, in turn you have to take additional unnecessary courses to keep FT status. In short, a disastrous experience for a freshman and sophomore. I transferred to a private school and it was a 180' difference. Classes were scheduled in modules to make sure everyone is on track and not taking unnecessary "Filler"classes. Teachers arrived on time. Class was held the complete time allotted. Deans, admin and staff were always helpful. The students vary in caliber at any school. You wants snobs, you can find them easily. The students who are serious about their future are quickly spotted if you look for them. If you want to make money... you have to spend a little to make more. Don't let the price hold you back. $5 for a cup of coffee is nothing to us now right? $40,000 a year to exit and make $70-$80/ hour is pretty damn good. Medical careers ensure a great income. Afterwards... you can reap the rewards.

On weekends the exterior doors will be locked. Call the library and they will come let you in. It's very quiet, there are restrooms and vending machines inside. There is a botanical garden open til 5pm across the street with picnic tables and benches available to decompress after/between long hours researching. Very helpful staff.

Despite receiving complaints for years…read moreabout Christopher Ellison, they continue to allow him to teach 3 separate classes, meaning if you take this program, you will need to be taught by him for 18 weeks. His sexism in the classroom was truly disgusting, and many students' complaints were ignored. He was always off topic and inappropriate. He referred to people as "crackheads" said "all teenage girls should apologize to their parents" (asserting that young women are "awful"), told the class about his own teenage daughter's insecurities and that she wanted a nose job, told us that he had removed his wife from his life insurance without telling her, and seemed unhinged at times. Extremely inappropriate and misogynistic personal details to be giving a class. I submitted a complaint to UCLA with timestamps of his inappropriate comments that UCLA has on film and I was ignored. I'm sure they will allow him to continue teaching. My mental health took a toll and I decided to just not attend his last class because we are allowed one dropped module. I am honestly thinking of speaking to representation because of how awful this experience was. After attending this course and seeing how they allow their professors to treat their female students, I am not surprised UCLA is embroiled in the Epstein files with another professor, and they have yet to suspend him. Yale just suspended their professor that was involved with Epstein, but UCLA has not. My law firm paid for my tuition or else I would have filed a chargeback. I have advised them to never use UCLA for their paralegals again. Not to mention, grades would come in months after the classes finished, with little to zero feedback.

This location is conveniently near other banking institutions if you need to get dinero from an ATM, pay bills during lunch time, ect.
