What a great place for Mexican food! We were sat quickly, chips and salsa were immediately delivered to the table and a server appeared to take our drinks almost as soon as we sat down. The margarita was good and bonus- they had Intracoastal's Dragon Point on tap. The food was delivered quickly and it was hot. Everything was delicious but what stood out was the chorizo and the guacamole. Both were outstanding! Our server was very friendly and gave great suggestions. If you like spicier food ask to try some of the other salsas they have hiding in the back- the salsa they brought to the table was good but mild. This place was amazing! It's in a strip mall. The inside is beautifully designed and there is plenty of seating. I went around lunch time and it wasn't super busy. The service was great - they let you customize your options with no irritation which is always nice. They brought tortilla chips and a mild salsa to the table. I didn't mind it as I don't like spice but someone I was eating with wanted a spicier one and they nicely brought one out. We participated in taco Tuesday so it was I think $7 for 3 tacos. I got one chicken and two ground beef. The ingredients were fresh, tacos were filled with just the right amount and there was little to no grease. The tacos came with lettuce and cheese on top. The tacos didn't come with sides due to the deal so I ordered a side of refried beans which were just as delicious. Go here if you're in the area. You won't regret your choice!! read more

I stumbled upon this, while house hunting. I met the owner and she was so sweet. I told her I had to come here since she had something I don't normally see in Virginia. Healthy tacos. I asked if they could switch it for the horchata and the manager came to ask what the problem was. She came to us very rudely and immediately it felt like she wanted a conflict, which is so strange because it really wasn't that big of an issue. I explained that it tasted chemical-like and she said "it's just strawberry and water" and I just responded that I didn't think it tasted right. She aggressively chucks the drink in the trash bin and I get back an horchata FULL with ice. Overall, not a good customer service experience. Maybe an off night, but not cool. read more

This was my first time trying this authentic Mexican restaurant and it was delicious! Only about a 40 minute drive from Orlando and it will be worth it! It's bigger inside than I thought it was going to be, which is I am sure great when it gets busy! There is a huge bar to sit at as well. We started with the guacamole which is made fresh and at the table side so you really get the whole experience! They have so many different margaritas to choose from-- frozen, regular, lots of flavors and even ones made fresh with lime juice and agave (that's what I had). They are pretty strong margaritas as well without even tasting it! They continually bring refills on chips and salsa, which is important! Their menu is HUGE so you will definitely be able to find something! My sister and I split the fajitas for two and let me tell you, the chicken was to die for! Freshly cooked, great texture and seasoning and I was excited we had leftovers so I could eat it the next day. The servers were very attentive and made sure everything was perfect! Not only did the owner slam a serving tray on the table behind us and yelled Jesus Christ but offered 15% off the bill but over charged on the margaritas to make it not 15 percent off. The staff looked scared the whole time and I do not blame them! This lady is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs! We got cut off from salsa and charged for spicy salsa. We waited a hour just for drinks! Terrible experience. say down and ordered drinks, look across from us and there is a dog in the chair. That has pretty much become the normal around here however an employee came by, petted the dog, sat at the next table and immediately started rolling silverware. Sign as you walk in lists specials, we always try to order specials. We we're not given the special price on drinks, asked about it and was told the sign stated it was only lime. We paid and on the way out I took a picture of the sign, which did not state only lime, showed it to the waitress. The manager walked over and I showed her the picture. In the end she said they would have to take it off the next visits, they couldn't refund. There will not be a next time. On a happy note, the waitress was very kind and did a good job. read more

This place is a regular stop for us. Usually it is a 5 star experience. Tonight was an anomaly. The food was GREAT. Service, slow, inattentive. Ask for more chips, after paying for a big bowl of quest and get a half-filled basket. Empty soda glass the last half of our meal. BUT, right at the end, a different server came over to help. Came here on a Saturday evening, and were seated right away. It was moderately busy. The ambiance of the place is wonderful, it very colorful and their Halloween/ dia de los muertos decor was fantastic. Service was quick, but the food was not up to par. They placed seasoned fried rice with peas inside the burrito, which did not go well since there were too many flavors competing with the meat at that point. The meat (I had chicken) was seasoned well on its own but was overpowered by the fried rice. Their frozen mango margarita was good, it was not too sweet. My husband also had a burrito and he was not impressed. I think it was an okay experience but I don't think we'll be back here. read more

We have been to this place so many times. Even when they first opened we supported them. The food has been amazing and prices are great. Even though we have had great food consistently there, the prices have gone up, the waits have gotten longer and the service is horrible. It would be better as a quick service as the wait staff come up to your table without an introduction and ask what you want. After they put it in the computer, you will never see them again. When you have issues like not getting your food they are no where to be found. Food has started to come out cold if your server is responsible for it. I question the management of this place as they do not have a regular bartender handling the bar. My suggestion is to never sit at the bar. You will never get service or food. read more

We did takeout and this is the first Mexican takeout we've done that we received no chips. The grilled corn was excellent. The queso dip came in a tiny container and with no chips. Similar to the size a side of sour cream would come in. And came with no chips The pico was also a tiny container and looked more like salsa. The chicken fajitas were a dry and over cooked. The steak fajitas were ok. The carne asada tacos were good. We are maybe 10 minutes from the location if there is traffic (no traffic) today but everything was cold except for the grilled corn. Not hot and not luke warm but cold. We had to wait for the order so it's not like it was sitting around. I think this is more of a go have a few margaritas and then eat kind of place. read more

In our quest for good Mexican food, my wife and I stopped in to Tequila Veintiuno on a rainy Sunday afternoon for lunch. The atmosphere is very appealing for a strip mall restaurant, not too loud, and the bar area has really nice lighting. We took quite awhile to peruse the extensive menu, and our server gladly pointed out several favorites. It was when our food arrived that we were rather dismayed. My carnitas were several chunks of warm roasted pork and a large portion of onions. The pork was not crispy as is normal for carnitas, and there was no garnish of any type -- no lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, cilantro, anything that could have brightened the plate and been added to the tortillas. The pork itself was very plain, with no evidence of real seasoning. I also ordered an a la carte cheese enchilada, and while the red sauce was tasty, the enchilada itself was room temperature and the cheese inside was skimpy and not melty at all. My wife's steak fajitas came out in a larger portion on a hot platter. They were average in taste, but again lacking any real sense of Mexican seasoning. In many restaurants this dish is presented with a side dish of garnishes that can be added, but again that was not the case here except for three tortillas. We both had the yellow rice and beans which we deemed fair. It's a shame that for such an appealing atmosphere and with such good service that the food was really just fair. We invest a lot of calories in Mexican food so it isn't something we do frequently. We felt these calories were wasted at Tequila Veintiuno. read more

Was great to learn about this restaurant that's been open only 13 days! We had a pitcher of margaritas, the queso, Tequila 21 Parillada, and the Shrimp fajitas. Note...the fajitas come with sour cream, guacamole, & lettuce (aka guacamole salad) OR beans & rice. I paid the upcharge & had all three. Was super great! My husband and I decided to try this place based on the amazing reviews. We didn't get our hopes up since we've lived in this area 28 years and really great restaurants are sadly lacking in Brevard county. But this place really knocked our socks off. This was hands down the best Mexican food we've ever had! My husband had the Pollo Borracho and I had the Carnitas and both were excellent. The pork was so tender and juicy and seasoned just right. His chicken was cooked perfectly and was juicy and delicious. We also ordered the queso and added some hot sauce to give it a kick and it was fabulous. The house margarita was also good and as an added bonus, it was BOGO the day we went. We were too full for dessert or ice cream so next time I think we'll split an entree. It was a lot of food and the prices were very reasonable. Our waitress was Erin and it was only her third day but she was so helpful navigating the extensive menu and helping us make our choices.
