I walked up to the cashier area where there were 7 staff members sitting at the table doing nothing. Finally sat me waited for long time was about to leave when the waitress finally came to the table. I ordered the teriyaki mixed. When the meal arrived half the plate was cold half was look warm. Then I tasted it the need is super tough, the shrimp tasted old and the broccoli was spoiled. Got up paid and walked out. I don't understand what is complicated about substituting an item on the menu for veggies. The girl at the to go station who takes your orders couldn't get it right. I speak to you in English but continue the conversation in Spanish, of course I'm not going to understand you. Manager comes to fix the problem and doesn't acknowledge or apologize for the mishap. Just a bunch of frustrated workers who make you feel guilty for something THEY did wrong!! Terrible customer service. I asked for no rice and rather instead of making a new dish, you scrape it off the plate and leave large traces of rice everywhere. It's not complicated you're just LAZY!! I'm going to the honest, the food is amazing. But we just order to-go from here, because the dine-in experience is a hit or miss situation; I'll explain that at the end. Personally I love the Tita roll, my sister likes el pacifico roll, and my husband likes the Yakisoba with beef. I Highly recommend asking for the salsa torreada it has a nice kick to it. So with the wait staff sometimes you get lucky and you have a good experience, but more than often you don't and this isn't coming just from me; it's been mine, my family's, my friends and my coworkers experience as well. There was one time when my family & I went and I got up so many times to ask for simple things like a refill, for a sauce I had asked for was never brought, to ask for the check, to pay; the waiter was no where in sight and no it was not packed it was actually kind of empty. So I yeah don't recommend dinning in, BUT ordering take out for SURE 100%!!! Their food is always delicious so my props to the chef/cook. Went yesterday, had a female waitress who spoke very fast Spanish, no English (assuming), because even after saying I did not understand her, she did not speak English, served the table the wrong food at one point, had to let her know that I needed more water, did not check on the table at any point, waited at least 30 minutes for the check, as myself and the rest of my table were leaving, the people on my table heard her speaking perfect English. Disappointed with the quality. There is a gnat infestation. I couldn't finish my food or drink because gnats kept landing on my food. I asked for the roll w eel and....ya I got this fried sushi w like eel bits on the side. And it wasn't even the good fried bits. It was like this weird burlap sack around rice kind. Food is good, if you try to order take out the person taking your order is usually busy and rude. If you plan to dine in, place recently had a remodel which involved just taking the silos out and making it one big awkward room. A bit over priced but food is 7 out of 10. They stare at you like they have no idea what you e just asked them for. Where do i begin, well first off the first seat we were sat smelled like urine so we had to move, secondly as many others have said the two rolls my wife and i got were beyond bland, the rice is not seasoned at all, and some how there was no flavor in the ingredients, not even sure they used short grain sushi rice it looked like regular long grain white rice. My wife's "california roll" was just cream cheese and crab, no cucumber and the avocado was only smeared in the rice, not even actual pieces. There were no regular sushi condiments provided (soy sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger). Not the biggest deal but we had to eat our rolls with forks because chopsticks weren't provided either. Probably the best sushi in town... Actually the only sushi place in town. The only reason why I have this place a 4, is because the service is a little on the slow side on average. I've gone a couple of times and the service is great, other times not so much, I guess it really depends who is on staff. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. The lunch specials and dinner specials are super affordable and allow you to mix and match. I needed to update this.. this is not a traditional sushi place. Their rice bowls are just as great but my favorite is the Poblano soup with its super cute little cheese cubes and dainty squared toasted little tortillas/totopos! Good luck getting an order in this joint. Tables are always dirty, sticky and wobbly. Bring a book to read because you'll have plenty of time to read waiting to be attended, have your order taken and eventually have your food. The waitresses are unprofessional talking about their exploits over the weekend whilst multiple tables of patrons are waiting to be served or are just plain nowhere to be found. I don't normally write bad reviews but this place is unlike anything I've ever seen. I just moved to the area from California where my wife and I ate sushi, at least once a week. I've never seen fish that looked or smelled like this. The tuna and salmon were much too dark and smelled a bit fishy. The soy sauce had a brown tint to it with white sediment at the bottom.
