I tend to be skeptical of Asian food in European countries but was delightfully surprised by this find. To combat the hangover from the night before and the drizzle weather of October, I stopped in on this ramen shop. The inside was Japanese styled with wooden booths, separating the booths from the rest of the restaurant with fabric hanging partitions. Best thing on the menu: Buta-tama Tonkatsu Ramen - Creamy Hakata styled ramen with a hint of miso and pork flavoring Ambiance - bustling, less light than usual Japanese inspired cedar booths and decor that plays English Top 40s music

We randomly stumbled on this brand in Amsterdam and was happy to find another location in Milan - Just opened earlier 2019. We all had the nankou chicken ramen because this was the winner when we first tried Takumi. The ramen noodles were curly and cooked slightly over al dente. Broth was so creamy and rich I was impolitely drinking off of everyone's bowl (don't worry, no milk in there for those who are allergic to dairy). A pleasant surprise was how crispy the chicken skin was. Cooked as if it's traditional Chinese roasted pork with a lot of good flavor on both the meat and skin. The spicy miso with seafood is good too... though not as memorable as the nankou chicken ramen. Also recommend the housemade iced tea and the spicy okonomiyaki karaage chicken.

For this money we received excellent service and 4 dishes (2 different soups, soya macaroni with pork and vegetables, some interesting dish with shrimps). The menu of crepes here is extensive- from savory sandwich-like crepes to a plethora of sweet crepes, this Creperia will satisfy any crepe lover! They must have a hundred crepes on the menu. The selection of sweet crepes ranges from a lot of different fruit varieties like kiwi or berries, to combinations with all kinds of creams, custards, and chocolate fillings. I am also impressed with the drink menu. There are a couple pages of cocktails, plus a beer and wine selection. The cocktails are WORTH IT. I got an Irish whiskey and it was so gorgeous! The bar is also very cool; they've got a lot of character with the way they've decorated this place. I highly recommend this creperia for a drink and a snack. Close to Quadrilatero d'Oro too!

We discovered this restaurant as its close to duomo area and it's on the way to another Chinese restaurant. It looks quite small outside but inside is huge! It opens at 7 pm but we we got in like 15 min earlier, no problem. The reason we decided to try is because on the menu we saw dry hotpot dishes besides the Japanese dish and other Chinese ones. Any restaurant knows how to cook dry hotpot dishes know how to cook real Chinese food. So we go in, it took us a while to walk to our table, it was really huge. The tables are really clean and tidy. You can order prefixed 18.8 per person menu order as much as you want , but cannot leave any food otherwise receive a fine. Or you can order from another menu separately, which has some authentic dishes not on the prefixed ones. All the four dishes (spicy beef soup, vege fried rice, kungpao chicken, and dry hotpot veges ) are really really good, maybe spicy beef soup can be improved a little bit though as the complications of spices are not so comprehensive. We were surprised to taste authentic Chinese Sichuan food. Current review for this place is not so good I think maybe due to Japanese dishes and people who are not used to real Chinese food, but if you are looking for real Chinese food, this is the one to go. I did not give five stars because the waiter seems to be tired and no smile and just stare at you while eating .... Awkward ...

The service was fast and frequent checkups. Now, the food is very authentic and tasty. Since I was by myself, I was only able to try two entrees. First is pork in garlic sauce, my standard benchmark dish to measure a restaurant, and it was very good and spicy. The other dish is sauté beef with ginger and leek and again, it was outstanding in authenticity and taste. Why not 5 stars? Well, I was charged 2 euros for a bowl of rice as the entrees don't come with rice. This is akin to charging extra for sugar when one orders espresso!

There's more to Japanese cuisine than just sushi, and Macha Japanese Café in the heart of Milan,…read moreproves that. Serving drinks and traditional café fair, Macha mixes the love of matcha tea with a creative attention to detail that delivers tasty, balanced flavors reminiscent of traditional Japanese influences. The atmosphere is so calm, soothing and refreshing, with a palette of soft accent colors throughout the interior. It's incredibly inviting, which is only emphasized by the service. Everyone there knows a great deal about what they are serving, and are more than happy to accommodate you in anything that you need. I stopped in for a little bite, having seen many posts of the place on Instagram. I opted firstly for the Avocado burger, a rich and creamy take on the traditional burger we're all used to. I then ordered the MACHA pancakes, which were stacked with smoked salmon, cream cheese and perfectly fried egg. Upon my second visit the sweet spot was where I further delighted my taste buds, as I enjoyed a piece of MACHA cheesecake, dotted with a ripe raspberry garnish, and was light and airy, yet rich in flavor. The MACHA cake and MACHA Muffin were baked to perfection, loaded with delicate flavor and definitely something worth coming back for. The MACHA gelato was a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth consistency, that was a refreshing end to a delicious meal. I also enjoyed a MACHA soy latte, which is one of the best I've ever had. I'm really happy that MACHA has been established, as it fills a culinary void I never even knew I was missing. However, now that I do, I'm hooked, and MACHA is the place to go for an out of the box take of Japanese café dining. Delicious!
