This is a cute little plant shop next to Cafe Alula. After brunch next door, my friend & I hopped inside to scope out the place. If I was going home right after, I would've bought another plant. Hence, I will definitely be making a return when I come back to the area. The staff was super helpful. My friend had a question about one of her plants & asked a staff member for advice. Love this shop. Joe's a super nice guy and his fondness of plants+his home roots upstate are very evident in his efforts to support small businesses. I bought a 6.5" !entirely handmade! planter inspired by Catskills topography and couldn't be more in love. Shop layout is great! Clever utilization of space. Went to buy an aloe plant for a burn, an objectively common use for the plant. Asked if the smallest one would suffice. Gentleman working loudly cut me off and said he's not a doctor. I told him I simply wanted to make sure the leaves would produce juice. He continued on, saying he doesn't grow plants for that purpose. I said ok let's just end the medicinal convo, we're good. He continued on and I said let's just buy it. He told me he wouldn't sell it me. Mind you I'm extremely stressed as I have a huge burn across my face. This guy was extremely rude, interrupted me, and was clearly stressed that I asked about the plant Don't go here if you expect a humane response to inquiry. read more

Found this small shop while wandering Greenpoint/Williamsburg for plant nurseries. They have a great selection of healthy, beautiful plants and pots (from basic terra cotta to handmade). The staff are also super friendly and helpful. And the store is so pretty! I'll definitely be back. read more

I came here in the evening/afternoon after leaving another more popular(who shall not be named) garden/plant store near by. Though the other shop was much more widely rated, I was totally let down by the quality of the plants I was looking for. I literally googled my vicinity in Greenpoint to find Tend- and I'm glad I did. It's very small, but I found it to be jam-packed with a variety of healthy quality plants. Even a couple of hours before closing on a Friday night, there were multiple staffers and everyone was so nice and helpful. Will definitely return. read more

Tend is the best plant resource you could ask for. I came in looking for a large outdoor plant with a pot, four smaller outdoor plants for a flower bed, and two indoor plants/pots. Jamen was incredible in helping me. He asked me all the right questions in terms of what I was looking for, showed me all my options, made sure I was looking at plants for the spot in my home I planned to put them, and patiently went through this process for each item I purchased. He was transparent about pricing. Once I made my choices, they lovingly potted and wrapped each plant and helped me bring them to my car, and emailed me care instructions. They told me when to come back for replanting/potting etc when needed. So knowledgeable patient and professional. I am so thankful as a beginner plant mom to have them guide me and the plants look absolutely GORGEOUS in my home. Run don't walk to Tend if you need plants!! read more

They were very patient, helpful and it's probably one of the best experiences I've had at a plant store. So many others in the area are annoyed with straightforward questions - but not this place.
