As other reviews mention, Chelsea Garden Center is on the pricey side, but not wildly expensive. They have the best variety I found in Brooklyn, even more so than Home Depot or Lowe's. I was able to fill my flower box with about $60 worth of flowers. I was really hoping to get some pansies, but they didn't have them. But I got some gorgeous petunias!

When I've had healthy plants that I no longer had room for, they've been happy to take them and give them a new home. It's clear they care about both plants and the local community. Over the years I've purchased a Monstera Thai Constellation, a huge Philodendron Jungle Boogie, variegated pineapple mint, satin pothos, a large mature Ming aralia tree, variegated thyme, morning glories, and more. There is a wide variety of plants, the store is small and cozy. I don't know how she managed to make it look so nice and cool. The variety of plants is a must see. One of my new plants color is pink and green. Also, her prices are lower than other places. For example a plant that was 30.oo in a different store, cost here 12.oo. The owner also does decorating services for events and parties.
