Staff is unfriendly and unwelcoming. Atmosphere seems like it only wants regulars. Food is unremarkable.

The shaded tables were taken, so I sat with my back to the sun, after all this won't take long, right? After some time, I was offered a menu and the server took my order. I received my water and drink quite quickly, and then the servers went back inside. When they did reappear, I was told that my food should be out soon. It wasn't. When my food finally arrived, I asked for another drink. I was having a Long Island Iced Tea, and the young man brought me an ordinary iced tea. When I mentioned it to yet again a new server, he assured me that no one had changed anything about my drink. I explained that he brought me the wrong drink, which he finally understood. I guess to sum up, I spent an hour baking in the sun, while the servers took little breaks in the air conditioned restaurant. Their food while good, is expensive, and their service is slow. They didn't even bring the machine out to my table so I could pay. I waited long enough, that I finally went inside to pay. I won't be back.

She did just the right amount of checking back. There when we needed her but never intrusive. The menu was very creative. One in our party had bison stew. Since it's near buffalo jump UNESCO site, really appropriate. Two had a gourmet hotdog. I had Cauliflower tacos. I am going to try to figure out how to make them when I get home. They were delicious! We are so happy we stopped there. We highly recommend them!

You say there was "one comment," but conveniently never explain what that comment was. If it was completely innocent, why not simply tell me what was said? You say the staff were "just giggling" about things that happened during their shift. Conveniently, that is also exactly what the employees involved told you after the fact. I was the customer sitting there watching and hearing what happened. I don't think asking the people involved to explain their own behavior constitutes an unbiased investigation. Then there is the line, "I am so sorry if you perceived it differently." That is not an apology for what happened. That's an apology for how you think I interpreted it. There is a pretty significant difference. And perhaps the most revealing sentence in your entire response is: "The cook should have never been out front in the first place." Exactly. So why was he? Why was a cook interacting with customers, making comments about my appearance, participating in the situation, and then disappearing back into the kitchen -- only for management afterward to acknowledge that he shouldn't have been out front in the first place? You also felt the need to explain that the owner and operations manager are South Asian and that your staff is diverse. I'm not sure what you thought that proved. The ethnicity of your ownership and employees has absolutely nothing to do with whether an individual employee behaved inappropriately toward a customer. I was describing a specific incident, not conducting an ethnic census of your workplace. And let's be clear: I never said every employee in your restaurant is racist. I described what happened to me and why it made me uncomfortable. Trying to defend the restaurant by pointing to the ethnicity of other employees doesn't answer what actually happened. The most disappointing part is that I actually gave your restaurant credit where it was deserved. I said the food was good. I said the service was good. I specifically said the manager handled the situation well. I could have simply destroyed the entire restaurant in my review, but I didn't, because that wouldn't have been fair. What wasn't fair was having to sit there wondering why employees were laughing, hearing a comment about my appearance, watching the person involved retreat into the kitchen, and then being told afterward that it was all just something I "perceived differently." If your response was supposed to make the situation disappear, it didn't. It actually leaves me with more questions: What exactly was the "one comment"? Why was the cook out front if he "should have never been out front"? And why is management asking the people involved to explain away their own behavior instead of simply acknowledging that, from a customer's perspective, the situation was completely inappropriate? You invited me to contact the owner or manager, and I'm willing to do that. But if we're going to have that conversation, I'd prefer an honest discussion about what happened rather than another carefully worded explanation about how I supposedly perceived it.

We got a few things for to go and when I arrived to pick up the food, I was told the food was almost ready so I just sat at the waiting area in the front and waited. The restaurant seemed nice and clean and has plenty of seating. The staff were friendly. For Prime Rib Dip with fries and truffle aioli sauce, the prime rib and the bun was alright. Some fries were pretty hard and not edible. Truffle aioli sauce was good. We just wish they had marked the dipping sauce on the container because we did not know what it was for until after the food was finished. AAA Alberta Beef Sirloin was done right as requested and flavor was there. We decided not to even dip with the jalapeños infused salt and chimichurri topping that comes with it because it would become too salty. The order comes with 2 sides. We got linguine and salad which were a bit smaller portions than we expected. Atlantic Salmon doesn't come with any sides. The salmon and the risotto were WAY TOO SALTY which was very disappointing because they both were the main thing of the dish. Not sure if all these problems were because we placed orders within the hour of the closing time and they were rushing to finish up. Anyway, for over $100, we don't think it was worth the money.

We had a good time there and enjoyed ourselves right up until it was time to pay. the waitress decided to tell us about how much better their butter chicken was then the Mango Tree's, and how customers tell them all the time that its better, and apparently even Mango Tree's owners came in and were told by customers that they liked A&T's butter chicken better (a bit of a far fetched tale, and unprofessional). I went back last night because they were doing a comedy show and a friend of ours was one of the comedians. We were completely ignored for about 35 minutes at our table (I know it was busy, but the tables on either side of us were being served at least somewhat). We went to the bar and requested service to our table when she had a chance, and we were still ignored for about an hour following that, except for when she came up to us saying 'is this the table that ordered pineapple?' and we said no and she fled before we could request drinks. Our friends at a different table also got Thai bites that they didn't order served to them. I don't think I'll be returning.
