I so love this street market near my apartment. We are lucky to have it here. Great prices and nice vibe on the street. Busy on Saturday. Closed Sunday and some are open on Monday. Lekker food places. read more

If variety is the spice of life, then a visit to this outdoor market is a must! Basically a whole section of the street is shut down on a permanent basis and there are vendors with stalls set up on both sides of the street. If I was to guess, I would say there are maybe around 80-100 stalls? The vendors seem to set up around 9am and the products sold run the gamut such as flowers, cheese, wine, clothing, vegetables and fruit. this is good Business , Cute little market on a busy street off of Kinkerstraat. It's a bit cramped during Corona-times but still outdoors. Small enough to get around quickly but also limited selections compared to the other large markets. I get my flowers and nuts there...also a huge cheese (kaas) stand too! read more

Great market very close to the center of town! I normally go here to buy all my fruits and vegetables over the weekend. The options are somehow limited but good. The stalls change a bit from day to day, having the most when the weather is good. There is a great one selling a huge variety of olives and another one where you can buy freshly made bread which are among a my favourites. Ten Katemarkt - Farmers Market Near Me - Amsterdam, New Hampshire

My absolute favorite outdoor market in all of Amsterdam! It might be smaller than Albert Cuypmarkt but It's not as crowded, the focus is more on food and less on knick knacks like the random sock and toothpaste stand, and there are some seriously good deals to be had on fruits and veggies. The one downside of Ten Katemarkt is that a majority of its vendors are variable so you can't always come back and expect to find the same person who sells the fruit you loved last time. There are a few mainstays though and I regret that some of them don't have their own dedicated Yelp pages so I can show them love. Honorable mention goes to the Gouden Tent which is located on the far end of the the market (away from Kinkerstraat) - I make a weekly trip here to stock up on their amazing hummus (I know mango hummus sounds weird but it's crazy delicious), baba ganoush and dolmades (stuffed grape leaves - the BEST I've ever had). Everything I've tried also has a little sweet tinge to it instead of completely savory. This is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. It's not one of those "big" markets that tourists know about and flock to. It's a neighborhood spot to get your fruits and vegetables, fresh orange juice, maybe some flowers, batteries, and bike accessories too. I do love the sandwich place Boer Geert (http://www.yelp.com/biz/boer-geert-amsterdam-2) right by the entrance to de Hallen. Prices are crazy cheap, and there is no excuse to not shop here (unless you don't live near by of course!). read more

We've been to this market during the sunny days of July 2012. It was an impressing experience. Surely not the biggest market in Amsterdam but pretty charming. People from different origin interact with each other like you won't find in Germany, where I stay. This is what makes Amsterdam so adorable...... Please check also the Turkish bakery and the small kebab shop based in the Ten Kate Street. The Bread is fantastic and tasty and the "dürüm" made by the shops owner was really delicious. We will come back soon, my kids can't wait for visiting Amsterdam again..... :-) read more

My favorite basic market for fruit and veg. I usually come here twice a week and can usually find everything I need. There is also a great butcher near by as well, so I can get pretty much everything I need in one place. read more
