She did not help me in any way and I left with no information and no money.

I have been to Agave a few times before this but things have changed to a point of discrimination…read moreagainst tourists and those from other countries. For some context, my wife is from Peru and has a Peruvian passport and a United States Visa. The man at the door, who I am not terribly convinced finished high school, asked for our IDs like any other bar and we gave it. The man looked at the Passport of my wife and said that he only accepts state, federal, and government IDs. Great, showed him the Visa and he said the exact same thing. I believe that Agave could hire someone with enough intellect to understand that tourists and others from outside the country do not have access to Federal, State, or Government identifications and that an AMERICAN Visa is a valid form of identification. We told the man all of this and he just stupidly said "I can only accept American passports." I do not believe that this is intentional discrimination against those that are not from the United States, but I believe that the staff needs to maintain a higher level of education when it comes to US law. From US law: "a visa can be used to prove identity and the right to work in the United States."

I don't know who was cooking in previous reviews but this food is BANGING! YOU HEAR ME, BANGING!!! I ordered the (4) enchilada entree. They typically let you order either chicken or beef, but they made an exception and let me order half and half. The entree came with a small bit of shredded lettuce and tomato, super flavorful beans, and excellently cooked rice. The enchiladas were perfectly seasoned. The beef and chicken were both well balanced in flavor and tender. The whole dish tasted fresh. The presentation was good even though I ordered to go. Also, their house mojito is stupid good, well balanced, perfectly muddled, refreshing, and light. I wish I could have take a swim in my glass. I'd come again . :)

Whew..if I could give this place no stars I would. I should…read morehave known this place wasn't it when we walked through the door. There wasn't a soul in the building at during lunch hour and they are right across the street from a busy mall. The team members were legit waiting at the window for someone...anyone to come in. The smell of cleaning products hits me as I walked through the door. side note: if I walk into a Mexican restaurant and don't smell that delicious aroma or hear some type of music playing I know the place is about to be trash...Period. Anyway we're hungry and just walked over here so we sit down. The waitress is nice and takes our order. I did ask her to accommodate me being that I didn't eat meat so they did the bean and cheese flautas for me which was super nice of them. I asked for a lemonade to go with my meal and y'all would not believe that this woman brought me back a water with a spritz of lemonade essence in it. It was so bad that my husband asked to replace it and when she did (bless her heart) the cup had an obvious color difference. Like you might as well could have brought me water with lemon before lol On to the food cause that's what were here for. Yeah that was nasty... plain and simple I wish I had something nice to say. But the rice was both under and over cooked the beans flavorless and cold. And the flautas. Y'all I took one bite looked at my husband and we were done. Still paid for the meal and tipped the waitress because we aren't buttholes and she was a pleasant person but they need a new chef.

The room was very spacious, the bed was large and comfortable, and my husband appreciated the big TV. The shower had great hot water. The hotel itself is very nice, especially the lobby and bar area. Parking was easy and convenient as we're able to park right in the front entrance with no issues both nights being there, and the location is excellent. It's right across from Torchy's Tacos and next to Starbucks. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars were that the pool was smaller than I expected and there wasn't a hot tub/jacuzzi. Also, because of the hardwood floors, I could hear the guests upstairs walking. Overall, it's a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location, and I'd recommend it and I would stay again.
