Rude horrible customer service. Very poor selection of goods and videos. Very overpriced save yourself the trip time and trouble.

We bought a few things here and when we got home and opened everything nothing worked. Everything on the packages said long lasting batteries and guaranteed to last a year. So I called the store and they said to just bring everything back. I live over 30 minutes away from the store. Upon arrival we were denied a return! They said we could only exchange and they were out of what we had initially bought so we had to try to find something similar. When we finally found something that was somewhat like what we wanted we were told they couldn't give us any money back even though what we had to exchange it for was cheaper then what we brought back. So we wasted over a quarter tank of gas getting back to this store just for them to rob us of even more money!! I will absolutely not be returning! Who says bigger is better? Sometimes you can get all your basics from a little sex shop. This place used to have the really generic name of Super Video. There may have been something like "adult entertainment" or "adult shop" tagged on at the bottom of their sign somewhere. Really, it was so forgettable that I've forgotten and I pass by it all the time when I go to visit my friends. I'd never once set foot in the store under its old name. The store has rebranded a bit and it's much more enticing now. After all, it finally got me to come in after 10+ years. The new name leaves nothing to the imagination. "Super Video? Is it a regular video rental store?" No! Temptations for Adults. Now it's saucy! There's a decently sized lot with free parking and they'll be checking your ID when you enter. The nice thing is that they don't hover over you once you're past security. They didn't approach us to help us but were more than willing to come out and show us what we wanted to look at when we asked and they gave some good recommendations, too. The selection is not huge, but I think they stock the place with the essentials and then some. It's not just about the porn and sexy times, either. When I went to Alverno College, my friends and I made frequent trips to Super Video for the hilarity. We found porn and various accessories to be funny and frightening, like the Evil Dead trilogy. This location was the only place where we felt safe enough to do so, and it's clean. And, honestly, where else can you find outrageous 80's porn on VHS for $4?! I bought a dry herb vape here today. The vape gets so hot to the point where I am afraid to use it. When I pull from it I get nothing and on top of that it's very very hard to pull from. The store clerk told me when I bought it that I had 10 days to return it if there was something wrong. She also told me if I returned it to clean it the best I could. I tried returning it only 7 hours after purchase... only to get into an argument with a different clerk about not letting me return it for store credit. She kept trying to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the dry herb vape and I kept telling her that there was. I told her that obviously she just couldn't verify it because she wasn't able to put her lips on the product and test it for herself. I asked to see a manager and she first told me that they would only tell me the same thing that she did before telling me when a manager would actually be in the store. Customers were egging her on telling her how well she was doing with the way that the clerk was speaking with me. She proceeded to tell me in a very snotty way as I was already walking out the door that I should have a nice day (it was 9pm). So I told her that she should have a nice day too and I called her a bitch. She proceeded to yell at me "Fuck you!". Please, please, never spend your money here. They have really, really poor customer service and chances are if there is something wrong with what you bought they will not care. read more

I am not a fan of this store. I came in the other day to get incense and a candle. When I had walked in there was a couple in front of me. They walked right on through and did not get carded. I got stopped at the door and was asked for my ID. I obviously am above age (I am covered in tattoos). I grab the items I was looking for and go up to the register to be checked out. I was waiting for a couple minutes while this young girl helps some kids looks at glass for "Tobacco". She tells me that I have to wait while she helps the other guests. I was already in a hurry and just wanted to buy my items. When she gets up to the register she starts to complain and say she has a headache because she had been running around all day. (Keep in mind I was in the store and there was maybe 5 people in the whole place). She then begins to talk to me about my tattoos and shows me all of her piercings. I do understand that this is supposed to be a relaxed atmosphere, but I loathe every time I have to come in to this place. The employees are always judging and aloof. read more

Being a steady customer, I've purchased a number of DVDs from them. I recently bought a new one and it didn't work about 2/3 way thru it. Locked up computer and intermittent/heavily pixilated on a DVD player. Returned it to the store within the replacement time frame. The female clerk put it in their DVD player and fast forwarded thur it at 64x. Problems didn't show up, but probably wouldn't at that speed. I told her where the problems were exactly, but she didn't want to hear it or go at the regular speed in the problem area. It was too bad, so sad, so I am stuck with it. I would have taken a different replacement in lieu of the same thing. This is a poor way to treat regular customers when there is an occasional problem and apparently is their M/O in dealing with problems. Let the buyer beware here. read more

cool store until the past few years, my last few encounters have been ended with me deciding to not be a customer anymore. Once I brought my friends to the store to look at some tobacco pipes, a friend of mine was refused sale because she said he smelled like like an illegal substance and because me and another friend was with him she refused sale to all of us. We went down the street to Blue on 72nd and Greenfield the staff at Blue were really nice, helpful and welcoming. Fast forward three years later to 2014 I decided to give Super Video another try. I opened an account the other night and rented four DVDs. When I brought them home the first two movies played great but the last two wouldn't play all the way through. I brought the movies back that same day informed the girl behind the counter the first two played great but the last two kept getting stuck. She put the DVD in and fast forwarded through the movie at 64X speed informed me that since it played in their machine their was nothing she could do, it was their policy because then people could get free rentals all the time. I would understand this policy if I had a history of bringing back movies or if I kept the movie the entire rental period before I said something but this was no the case. In the end, they've lost a customer for good now, I'll never be returning. Super Video or Temptations if that's really the new name, has poor policy when it comes to customers. Blue on 72nd and Greenfield has the best glass you'll ever find, there is a Vapor store a few doors down from Blue, the internet has all the porn ever made at a killer price and Amazon.com has all the sex toys you can think off at a huge savings.
