I'm not typically one to write reviews about products or services, but I'm motivated to provide the…read moreinsight of a father of a toddler who has been with the school for nearly 4 years now. We toured the school shortly after relocating to Tampa Palms and immediately felt comfortable. Many of the teachers, especially in the rooms of the youngest children, have been with the school for a very long time. They treat your children as if they were their own. They challenge them, they support them, they teach them, and they allow them to be children. The curriculum is dynamic and feedback is consistently provided to help us to extend the learning outside the classroom. From a value perspective, the pricing is extremely competitive and affordable. When the new owners took over, they spent significant funds to improve the facilities. They upgraded the entire outdoor area to make it more usable year round, especially during rainy season. The Fitzpatricks did this because they knew it would be a better product and a better environment for our children. Tuition didn't increase a penny, despite the large capital improvement. The owners and leadership team work closely with outside vendors to make sure that the extracurricular programs offered to our students are competitively priced and from reputable companies. My son loves that he is able to participate in gymnastics, soccer, drama, and soon will be joining in on karate. He wouldn't have the opportunity to be exposed to such a wide variety of programs without Primrose. In terms of responsiveness, we've never seen a parent's request or small complaint go without answer and remediation. The school does an excellent job communicating with all parents. No school of infants to Pre-K students will ever be completely free of germs, but should a student bring an infection into school, there is immediate communication to parents, and steps are taken to ensure that any potential spread is minimized. I travel for work most weeks and my wife also works full time. Neither of us would be able to have the peace of mind and ability to focus on our careers that we do without the amazing environment and experience provided by both Primrose and its owners, The Fitzpatricks. We know that our son is in good hands and is surrounded by friends, teachers, and administrators who care about his safety, well-being, education, and growth. When you enroll in Primrose, you gain an extension of your family. Teachers become aunts and uncles who check in on your child long after they move on from their classroom. The support staff and administrators go out of their way to make you feel informed and included, and they make sure to give every student attention. A building full of infants and toddlers has the potential to be a very chaotic place, but somehow the group at Primrose Tampa Palms finds a way to provide a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment for all of us. A child's education and development is one of the most important investments you can make, especially in these early years. If we had to make the choice again, we'd choose Primrose every time.

They care for them like they were their own and know all of their little quirks. I feel confident that when I drop them off they will have a day full of structured learning and play. We started our infant daughter at 14 weeks old at this Goddard campus while on the wait list for…read morethe owners' other school which is under construction in South Tampa. We had issues starting on Day 1 when we arrived and teachers were not wearing masks in the infant room. I told my concerns to the Director at the time who assured me they would wear masks moving forward. From then on we always saw her teachers in masks. We had several other issues including a lead teacher who did not provide our daughter any tummy time for several weeks, which we only noticed was happening after she stopped rolling over at home. On several pick up days, the fill in teachers in the afternoons were also using the iPads to show videos to our daughter. We also had some communication issues with her initial lead teacher Re later to scheduled and feeding. When the school director changed from Michelle to Ashley we had a discussion and Ashley addressed all of our concerns. They also brought in a new lead teacher for the infant room - Ms. Jessica - who we really loved and still think is a great infant teacher. The final straw for us, though, was 10 weeks after enrolling when we received the attached notification via the school's app on a Monday evening without any prior notice or warning. When I went to drop off our daughter the next morning, the director confirmed that vaccinated staff and parents would not be required to wear masks although they may still choose to. From what I experienced no one was checking vaccination status at the door. I told her we weren't comfortable with it, and she said that the decision was made by the owners the day before without any warning to anyone - teachers and staff as well. We weren't comfortable with this abrupt policy change, and I took our daughter home. I wrote to the director and asked that they reconsider requiring masks for teachers and parents in the infant room, otherwise we'd have to withdraw our daughter. I don't think this is an unreasonable request. They also already require you to clean your hands and put booties over your shoes to enter the infant room - why is a mask out of the question? The owner wrote me back and said they wouldn't be changing the mask policy and understood our decision to leave the school. The abrupt policy change without warning really put us in a horrible position. Thankfully we have grandparents who live close by and can help care for our daughter while we look for another solution, but if we didn't we would have no choice but to leave our daughter in a situation that we feel is too risky at this point. As a daycare which is intended to provide childcare for working parents, the school's actions have affected my job. Their actions certainly lost my trust and confidence that their school is managed and operated with my daughters best interests in mind. I am giving the school two stars because I do think the director and many teachers mean so well and do care about your children, but I think this school is experiencing several growing pains and that their management has some learning to do re: parent communication and relations. The same owners will be running the South Tampa campus when it opens as well and so we will no longer be attending that campus.

The owner even recommended an on site therapist to us when he was diagnosed. Colleen, the owner, is so organized and direct with every detail, there are no surprises. Our child is happy, hugs and loves in the staff like they're family. We are SO thrilled to be a Goddard family! The school is quick to notify if there are health concerns like Covid or RSV. This has allowed us to keep our son safe in times of higher transmission. It's true the staff doesn't wear masks, but we personally prefer that to assist with ensuring our child can communicate effectively with staff members. His previous school wore masks and that seemed to delay his learning. This school was recommended to me by a friend who's child also attends and raves about her child's teachers. Lastly, the school isn't covered in gross carpet. They have tiled / laminate flooring that can be easily sanitized. I'm a big believer that this helps keeps the kiddos safe and healthy. Tuition is paid monthly and again, everything is very up front and directly communicated. Colleen is available for any parent any time. What more could you ask for?

Mrs. Marielsy has been such a blessing to our son this year. As his time in her class comes to an end before moving up to VPK, I can honestly say we are so grateful for the love, patience, and dedication she pours into every child each day. She is incredibly diligent and attentive with all the children, especially with helping them learn and grow at their own pace. Our son has learned so much in her class -- academically, socially, and emotionally -- and he truly loves going to school because of the calm, happy, and welcoming environment she creates. One of the things we appreciate most is how creative and engaging she is with the children. The fun projects, crafts, and activities she plans are always thoughtful and exciting, and we love seeing the special things our son proudly brings home. Teaching this age group is not easy, yet she handles it with such grace and patience that she makes it look effortless. Mrs. Marielsy also speaks both Spanish and English, which adds such a wonderful dynamic to the classroom. Even while continuing to strengthen her English fluency, her kindness, warmth, and ability to connect with the children shines through so naturally, and the leadership team is always supportive whenever needed. We are beyond thankful for the positive impact she has had on our son and our family. Any child would be lucky to have her as a teacher!

So much so I moved my youngest over there earlier to get her a headstart. By the time my older one went to Kindergarten she was so far ahead of kids that came from other centers. The quality is unbeatable and they average the same prices and other centers around but I feel like I got better value for my money. Nadine at the front is phenomenal and they have top tier teachers including Ms. Nicole who is amazing with the kids. I recommend them to everyone with small kids.

I changed her care provider twice in a matter of 3 months because she was often uneasy and upset arriving at other places and it tore me apart (mommy's you know the feeling !). But when I found Little Steps Learning Academy, they were immediately so kind and receptive to what you needed as a family. Every worker here is so positive and greets my baby everyday with a smile and such great energy. She shouts "Yayyyy" when we arrive to school and that's something that makes me feel confident about her day while I'm at work. Why 5 stars? Because we will definitely miss taking our son here…read more --- --- --- As of this writing, our son is about 2.5 years old and had been going to Kiddie Academy since he was about 5 months. The only reason I say all of this in the past tense is because we just moved out of state. If not for that, we definitely would have kept him here indefinitely. Back when my wife was pregnant and we were touring all of the daycares in the area, we truly could not believe how expensive they were. Literally, the cost of daycare was the same as a monthly payment for a luxury sports car. Heck, it was even on par with my first mortgage. How does anyone afford this?! But fortunately, while still cheap by no means, Kiddie Academy was definitely the most affordable option in the area. And as first time parents, we *immediately* learned that not only was tuition worth it, but we were probably under-paying. Being able to leave our son in the hands of these lovely people for up to 50 hours a week was invaluably helpful for two working parents. We knew he was in great hands and we knew he was having a lot more fun at school than he would have been at home with us. If you're in the Carrollwood/Northdale area, be sure to stop by for a tour here before you decide on visiting another school. We are excited for our new adventure but sad for our son to leave his first group of best friends. This is my last review of a Tampa Bay business. I wanted to save a place that was incredibly important to us for my last review, and there was no place more crucial to our family than Kiddie Academy over the last two years. Now, it's off to writing about a million businesses in the Houston area!
