This was my first time here and it was for a memorial service for the father of a very dear family…read morefriend. Beside this special occasion that was celebrated here, I can honestly that this place was actual lovely. Its hard to find because I drove right past it and had to turn around and find it again. I really don't know how I missed a huge white building but I did so be aware. Inside the temple (temple right?) was beautiful yet simple. I think I enjoyed the simplicity of it all, but it was weird how the temple transformed into and area for everyone to sit and eat. I feel like place of worship and places to eat should be kept separate but that's my opinion and my opinion alone. I don't know a lot about the Jewish religion/faith but that could have just been that location that do stuff like that. So to each their own and I support them all.

2 years ago Rabbi Kaplan retired and a new Rabbi came to our little Synagogue and she literally…read moresplit the community in two. People who had spent most of their lives in the Shul, turned away. That Rabbi, was not rehired when her contract came due. Instead, we went with an interim Rabbi who will be with us for two years and try to help heal the community and search for a permanent Rabbi who will be a perfect fit. So far, she had brought energy, wisdom, direction and a renewed sense of Jewish spirit to us. I love the work she is doing and I will be sad when she leaves but I know she will help us choose a good permanent Rabbi. If you are in town in the autumn, when we have the Jewish Food Fair, stop by. It is a huge event and everyone is welcome. So right now....5 stars. Great rabbi, great congregants and a great experience!

I was raised Conservative with some Orthodox. I have no regrets about my upbringing. But now that my parents and grandparents are no longer with us, Jewish Holidays became something I dreaded. I felt like I had no home. I am divorced, I do not have children and my partner is not Jewish. But Mishkan brought me back to Jewish High Holiday services with joy.

We are social action oriented, while also offering social programming, and learning opportunities for students of all experience levels. One of my favorite activities is the music jam sessions that we have! A bunch of people get together and just sing. Those who have instruments and want to play can bring them and play them as accompaniment! It's an awesome experience! For me, though, I love the Friday night and Saturday morning services. They are musical and filled with both Keva and Kavana. There's always lively and participatory discussion about the Torah portion and how it relates to modern life. The aspect of services that I love most is the music and the beautiful melodies that fill whatever space we are in! There's a ruach (spirit) that arises when we are singing together as a community. The room becomes electric when we are all praying together on Shabbat. It's like no other service I have ever been to. In ancient times, the Mishkan was a traveling tent that essentially served as a reminder of the spiritual presence of God. Today, it is a community that truly enhances my life and makes it more meaningful every day!

My son asked me to join him for Shabbas. I'm glad I did. They were very hospitable. I immediately felt comfortable. They continue to teach us about Judaism without pushing their observances on us. They accept us where we are on our journeys. My friend is not Jewish and they are just as warm and open with him. He isn't a fan of a lot of people, but he likes them so much that he comes and helps out with events. They are truly genuine loving open-hearted people. Their children are awesome - they are just a beautiful family. I would recommend this Chabad to anyone looking for a warm loving community with so many resources, meaningful holidays, and fun events for the entire family!
