I decided to try out this synagogue for Friday services . This is a very beautiful, clean & inviting space. There is staff throughout the facility, that is very welcoming. Of course there is security!! This week happened to be Black history month. They had (6) black artists perform beautiful songs. The entire service is designed with song& guitar , and the entire congratulation joining together. This is the most inclusive & heart warming experience I have EVER had in my life. The chairs are open sit to anyone, unlike some places where your name is on your chair, & guests are sited on metal chairs on the side. Someone realized that I was sited on my own, and immediately, she came over & offered to sit me upfront, with other people, so that I will not feel alone. This is a white glove experience!!!!! Will never forget it. read more

This is the most welcoming temple! I visited Temple Beth El for several weeks and their service is beautiful and uplifting. Their sense of community is apparent in all they do. There are four rabbis, a cantor and two cantorial soloists. Music is such a part of Jewish lives and these services do not disappoint. This temple is so welcoming that I joined! There is a beautiful gift show that is open before and after services or by appointment. All purchases help Israeli artists/vendors. Everything is beautiful - of course I purchased something :) read more

I have been a member since 2019 and I continue to be thrilled with what is offered to everyone in our community. This temple offers much more than simply creative services and significant educational programs. It offers a life of connection, a sharing of interests, and opportunities to develop in ways that are unique to this synagogue. I feel blessed to be a member of Temple Beth El of Boca Raton. read more

Overated and underwhelming experience. In a word, lackluster. There are better options.

We have been a part of this temple family since 2016. The clergy is amazing, down to earth, and easy to reach. All the staff are helpful and so friendly. The campus is beautiful and has grown so much since we first joined. Even through Covid lockdown, the virtual services still kept us connected, especially when we were able to do our daughter's naming via Zoom. Now as more events return, we are able to reconnect with our temple family and our daughter loves going to Tot Shabbats. read more

When I moved to Florida 6 years ago I visited quite a few Reform synagogues in the area. When a friend first told me I should go to Boca Raton and visit Temple Beth El, I was hesitant to make the trip. Once I did, I discovered a truly amazing place and I have been a member ever since. The clergy and staff are absolutely top notch. There are programs for every possible interest and age group, and I truly found a home in South Florida. I found a large network of wonderful friends who made my transition to Florida seamless and painless. If you visit, you will see what I mean! read more

Temple Beth El thrives while others falter...why? Because we have a caring community! I moved to Boca to be closer to my parents who were in their early 80s when I moved to Boca from Miami in 2005. . My children had just graduated from college, and were living and working in Chicago and Philly. I joined the temple to meet couples like us who were empty nesters, and to have a close connection to the Jewish community. We have enjoyed worship services for the high holidays in synagogue and online during the pandemic. The ingenuity of the clergy to try new things makes going to services fun and meaningful. We've attended Jazz Shabbat, Shabbat using the melodies made popular by the group, Queen, and Shabbat services with a distinctly Latin beat! Additionally, We joined a Havurah ( a fellowship group) that allowed us to make new social connections. Temple Beth El of Boca is led by an inspiriting clergy group; the rabbis, cantors, and educators create programs for every age and every season of life. We feel the warmth of friends and family at Beth El. Drop by one Friday night and see for yourself. Barb Leventhal read more

Ive been a part of the Temple Beth El family since I was in early childhood. Now, I get the pleasure of seeing my son be a part of this incredible community. He has grown so much during his time at Beth El from learning new songs to developing his fine motor skills. The teachers and administrators go above and beyond to make him feel loved and supported. Nothing brings me more joy then spending the Jewish holidays with my son and my parents who are also lifelong supporters and community members of this amazing place. We also were fortunate enough to have Rabbi Dan host a virtual bris for our son during covid. We love our Temple Beth El family and are so grateful to be a part of this amazing community! read more

Temple Beth El is a most amazing place. A warm, nurturing environment, led by the best clergy and staff, it offers something for everyone from the youngest members at the incredible Beck Family campus to our beautiful main campus. As dedicated members for over 18 years we are proud of the social action, cultural and spiritual leadership that Temple Beth El offers to us and our community. Marlene and Richard B read more

After going "temple shopping" this Reform Temple worked best for MY family and I. My kids were welcomed to stand & jump around during tot shabbat and family services, they walked out happy and as a direct result I wasn't stressed out. My Catholic, New Yorker, Spanish speaking In-Laws are always welcomed too. My Husband has also made close friends, even with the clergy, who will meet outside of temple for dinners and celebrations. We now call some members our dearest friends. Making the decision to send our kids to pre-school and then Hebrew school at TBE, has been the best choice we made after moving to Boca. We love the family events: movie night under the stars, pizza night, Challah baking event, matza pizza making classes, camp games with s'mores, book club, drop off kid's movie night (so I can enjoy some time off from the kids) painting parties and so much more. My "not so Catholic" husband even joined the Brotherhood and enjoys their golf outings, whisky event, and bowling night. He received HUGE support after his mom passed away just a few months ago. I personally respect the global support I've witnessed of the Ukraine War, civil rights justice, gay pride, habitat for humanity and the trip a Rabbi make to Puerto Rico with temple members after their tragic hurricane losses. They delivered generators, water filtration and so much more in hand to pitch in and help the United States citizens of Puerto Rico. Most important to me is security of my family when they're at ANY and ALL temple events. After asking a ton of questions, taking a tour of both sites and seeing their choices of security, camaras and lighting, I'm extremely comforted by their state of the art-highly effective approach to security. I hope to continue to raise my family with TBE staff and their congregants. read more

Planning for our own end of life, even though we expect/hope it will be in the very distant future, was challenging however, once we decided to visit the Beth El Mausoleum, the experience could not have been better. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the staff was both professional and caring. They took the time to understand our needs before fully explaining all the options. They were not the least bit pushy and gave us the time we needed to make our decision. Thanks to the Beth El Mausoleum, the whole process was actually much easier than expected. read more

The Jewish community in south Florida is enormous and varied. How does one decide what Temple fills their personal needs? This Temple happens to be one of the largest and most thriving amongst us. The why is as follows: The clergy, the staff and the members are committed to being a family. No one ever feels left out. You are a real person and known by name. Your family matters. There are always family oriented and creative activities that draw you to this home away from home. It is a spiritual and community minded environment that realizes we need to teach, learn, love and give back in order to live up to our Jewish heritage. With a mix of prayer, song and laughter a service is never boring. With a combination of Hebrew, transliteration and English always on a screen in front of us, you need never feel left out. I was an onlooker with an occasional visit for 20 years. I am a member now for one year and that has changed my life. I have made loving friends and aquaintences. There are always opportunities to be a joiner and a helper on any level you choose. New members become part of the family, are acknowledged and immediately embraced by the temple, and this expresses the reasons why Temple Beth El thrives and the congregants call it home. read more
