I cannot even begin to describe the sense of peace obtained when I am in the adoration chapel. What a blessing this area has in this church. The community has been friendly when I attend and the mass has been, as expected, wonderful. The music adds for me another opportunity for worship and praise, and this community did not disappoint.

So we arrived and bought tickets for the rides and we went to buy some lunch at the church vendor area (to support church funds). we were told after we bought our food and tickets that our friendly labrador dog was not allowed on 'campus' and we had to leave asap. we were told that signs were in place and that we should have known! well no, I saw none at our entry point (and there were several entry points),... we came on basis of tv commercial and there was no indication of no pets allowed! even after buying $20 of tickets, we were not given a refund. I would not have taken the time out to make this review if it had not ruined our expectations. The experience would've been made much more acceptable had the head of security in his golf cart been less obnoxious ? this person is catholic? no understanding, sympathy. my little girl was heartbroken that we had to leave so abruptly

Four families held the first service on March 15, 1987 and two years later the congregation had grown to 235 people. Kernie Kostrub became the first full time pastor in April of 1990. He led the church until 2011 when he retired. The church raised money for a sanctuary and purchased land at the corner of Ponderosa Drive and Oriole Country Road which is now known as Judge Winikoff Road. The first service was held in the new church on Christmas Eve in 1994. Ground breaking for the Fellowship Hall and Education Building took place in 1999 and a memorial garden was added in 2004. In 2012 the church celebrated it's 25th Anniversary. Glades Presbyterian Church is proud supports the food and resource center, Boca Helping Hands which offers offers meals six days a week, distributes food bags for families, and provides help for those in crisis situation. I attended a rummage sale at the church who proceeds went to support their missions. This a very welcoming Presbyterian church serving the Oriole neighborhood and surrounding Boca Raton community.

The church meets at 10:30am every Sunday for just over an hour, then serves free refreshments in an adjacent building. The current pastor is very experienced, and gives excellent sermons. The congregation is friendly without being pushy. There is a "passing the peace" about 15 minutes into the service, where people stand up and shake hands with others for about two minutes. The church probably has under 100 members, but is very active and holds the following annual events: Easter Egg Hunt, Live Nativity, Harvest Festival, Yard Sale, Free Car Wash, and others. It supports Boca Helping Hands and C.R.O.S. Ministries, among other local organizations. There is a Women's Group and a Youth Group. However, in my opinion the church needs more children and youth, as its membership is getting older.
