This tiny little temple in a 100 year home in downtown Delray was so charming and inviting! It felt like you were walking into a beautiful little New England home After the service , which was attended by about 80 people plus family , I can't tell you how many people have called me to get information about Rabbi Marc and this jewel of a place. I was called by so many I couldn't keep track! If you want someplace that feels personal and not sterile, that feels welcoming and inviting I highly recommend Rabbi Marc and his staff.

Occasionally, I see a review for a church, but rarely a synagogue, so I thought I would sing the praises of the synagogue where my family has been a member for 3 years, Temple Ramat Shalom. Ramat Shalom is an intimate, community oriented congregation that welcomes families, single adults, and people from all Jewish backgrounds, including interfaith families. When you walk into a service at Ramat Shalom, the staff and congregation are casual, very friendly, warm, and welcoming. The friendly spirit here starts at the top with Rabbi Andrew, a wonderful teacher, spiritual leader, and caring friend. He has been a cheerleader in times of joy and a great comfort in times of sorrow. He speaks to you like a "real person and friend", which is something I have not always seen rabbis or religious leaders do. Our Cantorial Soloist Debbie recently started with Ramat Shalom but I believe she fits right in and has been doing a fantastic job. She has an awesome voice and rocked a packed house with a "Rock Shabbat" last week . Not all services are "rock" but most do revolve around music. To me, this is a very fun and spirited type of service, not like the boring and dour services I grew up going to. Children are very important at Ramat Shalom. Little kids will never get stern looks if they make noise during services. There is a one day a week Hebrew School on Sundays and plenty of activities for both younger and older children. We do our best to get to services and get our kids to Hebrew School, but what I love about thiscongregation is that there is no judgment. The Temple is very understanding of our very busy lives (work, school, family, sports) and appreciates that we so our best.! We certainly appreciate Temple Ramat Shalom's warm caring, and understanding attitude.

I never attended any of their services but I came back on a Saturday if I remember with the homeowner of my efficiency apartment to collect the deposit before I could move in, ...and we were sitting inside the dining room area and the church members offered us free food from Popeyes that they ordered that day. There is plenty of seating for people with younger kids and larger families in the overflow room. I look forward to visiting this church again as we are looking for a new home church. Sunday mass times are from 7am-1pm and weekdays Monday to Friday at 9am and 6pm on Wednesday. I am going to try and make a service tonight.

This Catholic church is named for Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton (August 28, 1774 - January 4, 1821)…read morewho was the first person born in the future United States to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church. After her husband died of yellow fever, Elizabeth converted to Catholicism after being introduced to it by her late husbands business partners who were from Italy and who took her and her children in. Elizabeth opened an academy for young ladies but most of the parents withdrew their students when they found out about her conversion. She was about to move to Canada when a visiting priest offered to help her establish a school in Maryland. Elizabeth accepted and cared for the children of the poor and she became known as Mother Seton. She died at the age of 46 but many schools have been named after her including Seton Hall University in New Jersey. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic church began in 1985, on the 10th anniversary of the canonization of it's patron saint, by offering service at Ramblewood Middle School. After a steady turn out that grew, two years later church began a building fund drive. In 1988, ground was broken on a new building. Archbishop Edward McCarthy dedicated the new building on June 11. 1989. At this time the parish had grown to over 2,200 families and a preschool was established. Ground breaking for the second phase of parish development began in the Fall of 1999. The church is now led by Father Mike Kelly. Mass times can be found on the church website. I came by the church for a Saturday morning rummage and craft sale. This church is very beautiful with a lot of outside fountains, statues, and landscaping. The rummage sale was cash only and they sold home goods, art, ceramics, books, toys, but no clothes. The craft sale was held inside the parish hall. I was surprised by how large it is. They had a lot of vendors that I have never seen anywhere else. Items included religious items. baked goods, bags, accessories, soap, blankets, and home decor. The church also sold food and had a raffle sale. I had never been to this church before so I enjoyed my visit. I love the stained glass of Catholic churches. I hope to see the sanctuary some day.
