This is a reform congregation which is near and dear to my heart. It's 5 stars all the way…read more Friendly, concerned, loving, community inspired, great services - but you should not go here - even yo visit - unless you are a total left wing progressive. They replaced worship with acts of what they perceive as Justice. In other words, sadly, they are a tv commercial for all things Democrat. There is no room for any diversity of thought. If you think Trump is more likely to end the war and bring home the hostages you will feel extreme discomfort here. If you think anti semitismm comes from Democrats and the Left ( which of course it does!) then do not stop foot here. If you are very much a left winger you will like it here and this shul is a 5. If you are even considering a vote for DiSantis or Trump you should find another temple.

We became members of Temple Bat Yam 2 years ago and immediately experienced the warm and welcoming promise stated in the TBY logo slogan. Although we initially joined for the spiritual and ritual aspects we quickly realized there was so much more to become involved with. We particularly like the Temple's commitment to the concept of Tikkum Olem (acts of kindness performed to perfect or repair the world). All are welcome with open arms. We can't wait to be together again in person with Rabbi Spey and the rest of the congregation.

The synagogue is supported by a dedicated core of local residents as well as many friends from cities throughout North America who spend part or all of their winter in South Florida. Shacharis, Mincha, and Maariv services are held throughout the year. Seating for the High Holy Days is free of charge, however, reservations are necessary. All services are conducted in a warm, friendly atmosphere, giving the shul a haimish feeling. ArtScroll prayer books, with prayers in Hebrew and an English translation, are used for all services. The synagogue has an active sisterhood that meets monthly during the winter. Each meeting includes a period of study, a time for socializing and the planning of activities for fund raising and for holiday enhancement. Refreshments are served at each meeting and all women are welcome.
