Procare is a private equity owned data tracking company where a myriad of data/photos/notes is entered into their database to track your child's development, parent interactions, etc. Upon exiting primrose to enter kindergarten I contacted Tony and Norma requesting that our child's data be deleted from the procare private equity companies servers. I have data privacy concerns given we are moving into an AI era. Our child's photos and notes are still in Procare. Procare and primrose have gone silent. I'de gladly amend this review when the issue has been resolved

It is never easy dropping off a new baby but we knew with our second that she was in great hands (now 8 months old). The warm and loving teachers made it so much easier. The facility is clean and well organized. They provide well balanced meals and our daughter definitely tries a wider variety of food there than she does at home. Our baby even eats food off the menu! The directors and staff are open to suggestions and are very willing to work with you when you have an issue (like with my children who resist naps). We are sent daily pictures/videos which is really nice. Our 3-year-old loves school. They do a ton of art, which she really enjoys. She was writing letters over the weekend that I had no idea she knew!

So if you (like me) had continued scrolling after not finding much internet presence, this is for you. When my son was approaching 3, I was overwhelmed at the idea of finding and vetting a preschool - so much so that I disengaged from even looking. I was drawn to something play-based, nature-oriented, nurturing...fun - but I was intimidated by the seeming rigidity that can come with some of the frameworks that I found. (no shade, it was just my perception - I feared I couldn't live up to something like a Waldorf standard in my parenting and I didn't know there was something between an academic-type preschool setting and a daycare.) I took the leap and called Jana. Three years later I'm writing in disbelief that our time with her is over. In Seedlings we found a program that seemed breezy and fun from the outside, but that was woven through with intention and routine behind the scenes. Seedlings helped ground my children in the rhythms of daily life. Our kids got muddy and wet, they cried and found comfort in Jana's arms, they gained confidence and skills, they learned to see other children as friends and not "others", they learned to celebrate each other and celebrate themselves. All of this while Jana and her amazing assistant Caroline carefully, silently, coordinated the many moving parts that have to happen enable a group of children to coexist and thrive as a group. Bonfires, potlucks, holiday shares, birthday celebrations, seasonal festivals and a multitude of other modest, homespun events (that I think are a HUGE amount of work for Jana and Caroline) served as gifts for the children - something to work towards, something to look forward to, something to remember and reflect on as each week goes by. As parents we got to join for many of these events and share in some of the magic of Seedlings - watching our kids thrive in their own community. It's hard to imagine what my life as a parent would be like today if we hadn't made the call to Jana. I never anticipated I would learn so much about parenting from seeing what my son and daughter were capable of in the right environment or from talking through a challenge or insecurity with their preschool teacher! In my case, she wasn't just teaching my kids... :) There's a reason there are so many siblings at Seedlings - it's hard to imagine another spot once you get a feel for what's possible. We are forever grateful to Jana and Caroline for being truly loving hands as they challenged our kids to grow. Hope this helps one person who is overwhelmed at the thought of finding a preschool. Jana is an amazing teacher who has taught preschool-first graders for many years. She supports each child's individual interests and abilities while creating a loving and cooperative atmosphere. The children spend lots of time outside gardening, tending to chickens and bunnies, and exploring freely. Families join in to celebrate seasonally, and there are a variety of Waldorf- and Montessori-inspired activities that prepare children for what lies ahead. My daughter is sadly outgrowing Seedlings for preschool, but we will not hesitate to attend summer "camp" or anything else we're allowed to join in on!!

I love how every teacher knows my daughter name, and usually have a story to share with me when I come to pick her up in the evenings. I have always felt a relief when leaving my daughter in their care. We recently switched directors(new sheriff in town lol) and honestly I have NOTHING bad to say other than our issue with the daycare being short staffed for a short time. Some things are out of our control, and what we can't control, doesn't matter. She was very informative via email to let us know about the teacher/child ratio. She has definitely worked the kinks out, and I'm sure there is more to come, so patience. Their curriculum can easily be tailored to the child so that if they're using an item to teach a lesson and your child's not interested, they can easily substitute something else that your child is interested in. The director and the teachers are fully involved and really seem to care about the children. They have wonderful programs in addition to the regular preschool activities for both the children and the parents. They stayed open late for a Zumba lesson and party for the kids and they've also done "Parents' Night Out" where they've stayed open late and had a get together for the children so the parents can have some time to themselves. I have been extremely impressed with how committed to the children and their education the teachers and director have been and fully recommend Childcare Network #58.

PLEASE READ before you enroll with Our Playhouse Preschool…read more The philosophy is a dream and it all looks and feels picture perfect when you are there BUT the Owners are NOT trustworthy and have wreaked havoc on the Lexington KY community- where they opened a school in 2015 and suddenly closed it with a 2 week notice in January of 2019. To make a very long story short, the owners, without warning to parents or teachers, closed the school with a two week notice in January of 2019. They never paid any of the parents back their deposits, which they require for each student that enrolls unless you pay in full for the entire year. They never paid any of the parents back that had paid in full for the school year (through May). Mostly though, they crushed many people and good hearts in the process. They broke the contracts they had with each family and have never paid them back the money they are owed. Please, don't let this happen to your family! With the best intentions, I warn you about these people. Please, look out for yourselves!!

Whether you're looking for a morning care (8:30-12:30p) or extended care (12:30-5:00p), they will have you covered. The director of the school, Danielle, is always in sight and I'm pretty sure she knows every child by name, she is very personable as are all of the staff I've interacted with. OPH is not your ordinary daycare. They have a structured schedule for the children while allowing them to express themselves and make decisions (encouraging independence). Children are encouraged to express themselves their own playful, creative nature and are guided by teachers acting as co-learners to express their own creativity and embracing an idea that they themselves are their greatest teachers. I've never seen more loving teachers, they truly have a desire to motivate children to be the best they can be as individuals and in a safe environment. There is much attention given to creating and collaborating with classmates. If you have children ages two through kindergarten, I definitely recommend checking out Our PlayHouse as a possible child's care program. You can't walk into the school without having a feeling of excitement yourself seeing all the children's creations and experiments displayed around the open area. And you can't miss all the gardens that the children plant themselves in the spring! They also have summer camp if you're looking for a summer solution!
