Their wines are all from small producers, nothing you'll find in large shops. A nice range of wines by the glass (4€ to 6€) covering multiple regions of Italy accompanied by olives and bread snacks.
Snacks and small plates (6€ to 10€ with smaller tastes available for less) feature a nice variety of carefully selected meats and cheeses. I had a mortadella from a new local producer on a flatbread with a layer of cheese, heated just enough to get the oils melty - - really luscious.
The owner/sommelier apologized for his limited English but it was a lot better than my Italian, and he was welcoming, caring, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about the products, and made the visit really super.
The property is just out of the center (which keeps it a hidden gem that people have to seek out) - - if you walk on Via Zamboni through the University (worth it just for the walk) to Porta San Donato on the ring road, and then a block or so further on Via San Donata, it's the first road on the left.
