This company is the worst! My first quote for shipping was just under $500. When I contacted them to proceed they jacked the price to over $1300! They wouldn't give me any explanation. Their customer support is terrible, and it's one of those companies that make it really difficult to talk to someone. They charged me for insurance, but didn't provide me with any paperwork, or any terms. And now that I need to make a claim they are trying to wipe their hands of it, by saying I need to contact UPS...even though Temando didn't give me any insurance paperwork, reference numbers or anything. So yes - they are selling insurance products but refusing to provide customers with terms up front or even when they ask. I rarely say this, but these guys are dodgy and unreliable. Steer clear of them. read more
This is apparently their Australia HQ. They are THE WORST. Had to use them to return. So what sort of courier service gives you quote from 9 am - 5 pm, then c--ty phone 'person' has the nerve to cop an attitude to perfectly reasonable observation that after 6 hours of waiting, one should be able to go for a walk without concern that courier will not pick up things. I'm not saying that dealing with annoyed customers is fun, but surely, not sounding like I stole your man, house, jewels, child and best friend is the least one can expect from person who has the great misfortune of being paid a living wage for a job I did after grad schooling all day for $11 USD. read more

I used the Temando service to ship a parcel from Brisbane to Sydney on the 21st of December when my sister-in-law left her Christmas gifts at my home by mistake and I was too busy to go to the post office (or didn't want to go to the post office). I placed the booking through the Temando website on the 21st December, the package was collected by the carrier on the 22nd and arrived at the destination on the 23rd or 24th December (not sure which day as it arrived before my sister-in-law arrived in Sydney). Thankfully because of the fast shipping my nephews received their Christmas gifts on Christmas Day! I was really worried that the parcel would not arrive in time and if I'd gone to the post office, I am not sure that it would have. I was amazed at how "cheap" it was to have a courier come to my home, collect a parcel and deliver it promptly without any complications. I will use Temando for my business shipping going forward as it is more efficient and much less expensive than heading to the post office. read more

I've used them for the first time recently. Had a lot of problems. Googling brings up this quote from the company: "Do you Yelp? Then you need to help the Yelp community to understand Temando. Temando are the leading delivery management provider, helping people, companies, governmental departments and everyone else get the best possible deals on shipping and freight. What they are not is a carrier themselves. This seems to be creating a lot of confusion with many of Temando's customers. If their package is not picked up, it is delivered late or they are charged more because it is oversize then they often believe that this is our fault. Unfortunately while we do everything we can to ensure that the over 400 carriers we are affiliated with are reliable and prompt, the reality is that as we only help connect customers and carriers and provide a single portal for all the necessary information, we are not responsible when the carrier fails in their obligations. " My order was scheduled to be picked up on a day recently. The tracking number the merchant gave me never updated from "awaiting pickup". No big, sometimes tracking doesn't work very well. After a week had passed (when the package should have arrived already) I called Temando asking what the deal was. They were completely confused. Told me they didn't know why it wasn't picked up, and to call the merchant and ask them why(passing the buck?). I did so. The merchant got back to me the next day saying the item had been picked up AFTER I'D CALLED TEMANDO. I can only guess that they probably realised they messed something up and hurried to pickup the item. The tracking website still shows "awaiting pickup", so we'll see what happens on tuesday, when they assured me it would arrive. I understand they don't pick up or deliver things themselves. But If the company is having so much trouble keeping track of the couriers they manage, maybe they need to be using better couriers. If there's some kind of breakdown in communication they need to streamline things. If they have to beg for positive reviews, perhaps it's a sign that something is running inefficiently. And when the only thing your business purports to do is to "help connect customers and carriers and provide a single portal for all the necessary information" - you might want to get your website and tracking utilities in working order. Just food for thought, Temando. UPDATE: Apparently the courier who has my items is NORTHLINE. I recieved one of the two items in the delivery a week ago- which was over 2 weeks late. The other half is still AWOL. 4 days ago I called Temando who told me again to call the merchant . Merchant called Northline (this is when they informed me it was Northline) and was told the item was in Sydney. Still no sign. Does it take 4 days to get a delivery from Sydney to Newcastle (about 3 hours away)? ANOTHER UPDATE: Got off the phone with Northline and now they're saying the entire consignment was marked as delivered last week! They're calling it a discrepancy and looking into it. Why do I not have a lot of confidence? Anyway, I guess this is no longer a Temando review but a Northline review. Temando was just the vaguely incompetent facilitator. Oh well. read more
