I almost never write reviews on places, but I was so disappointed with my service at Temak House and want to warn others. I was initially going to get À la carte, but after seeing most rolls on the menu were upwards of more than $15, I decided the $35 lunch all you can eat to be more worth it. I noticed when I sat that my plate and soy sauce tray was dirty and had to be wiped out. We sat and ordered appetizers and waters right away, and once we got our drinks, we waited 30 minutes before we saw our server again. 30 minutes--no exaggeration. I asked another server to please grab our server so we could order, and he said he would take our order for us. Another 5 minutes passed and I asked a different server where our guy was. He informed us that our server had taken his lunch break, and someone else would see us shortly. No one else saw us shortly. We sat there, waiting to order food at an all you can eat restaurant for 40 minutes until our server was off his break. Additionally, every menu item you order would take anywhere from 10-15 minutes to come out. My friend and I had to order everything we wanted in one sitting, since we knew we wouldn't see our server again and the food would take forever. And because of this, we ended up sickening ourselves to try and avoid a $2 up-charge per piece of sushi not finished. The food was fine but nowhere near the $50 per person quality marker. We found a lot of the sushi rolls to be very bland. We asked for other sauces and a different server told us they only had spicy mayo or eel. Our server never told us his name, but my receipt says Juan. When I had any questions on recommendations from the menu, he seemed very unfamiliar with it and even asked to see it so he could remember what was on it. In the hour and a half my friend and I spent at the restaurant (mostly waiting for food or service), we saw Juan three times. One time when we got our drinks. One time to place an order for food. One time when I called out for a receipt. My friend and I went here at 4pm on a Sunday. There was only one other table with three people when we came, so the place was relatively empty. If it was a busy day, I would understand. We were two people in an empty restaurant. I can't even imagine what getting service might be like at a busy time of day. When I go out to eat, I do not expect my server to check on me every second. However when I am at all you can eat places and I have had empty plates sitting in front of me for 40 minutes, I get pretty frustrated. And the forced 20% gratuity at the end that was not mentioned whatsoever was the real cherry on top. Will never be returning and I have made it a point to tell others to never stop by. read more

We ordered to-go and we're Pretty disappointed with the serving size of our meals. Ordered the beef with onions (comes with rice and side of fries) and the the volcano roll. For the beef and onion meal, one small scoop of rice for the beef they give you doesn't make sense. Could've at least filled up the spot that was left empty. Then the fries.... They put parchment paper on the bottom to fluff it up but I took it out and noticed only a handful of fries. This meal came out to $45. read more

Clara was super friendly as well as Andrielio however it seemed a bit understaffed for only a few tables but the experience was great as we'd been wanting to come since they opened. Aline was great and was able to get us the spicy mayo we had asked a few times for. I would definitely recommend. I can't wait to try other menu items. read more

We went for all you can eat to try it, we knew it was going to be a hit or miss. F First of all, the staff is super nice and sweet, they are doing the best, I pray people are more graceful to them in the upcoming days. The only worthy part of the AYCE is to go all in for the carpaccios, ceviche, octopus (which I love) and get a few of the beef skewers, cause the meat was tender and really good. We had different carpaccios mostly tuna and salmon. The rolls?meh. Out of 5 different ones , just one was good good. The sizes were off, not rolled properly and overall meh. We skipped the cream cheese ones but one and it was a lot of cheese. I would have order more carpaccio and beef skewers and skip the rolls. The Romeo and juliet dessert is great and their ice cream is really really good. So yeah, the sushi for AYCE..nope. nope. Nope. NOPE Nice people tho. Really nice. Doing (the staff) the best they can. Really enjoyed the sushi here -- everything tasted fresh and was well prepared. They offer all-you-can-eat sushi, which turned out to be an excellent value and made it easy to try a wide variety of rolls. Service was a little slow at times, but the servers were very friendly and welcoming, which helped offset the wait. Overall, a solid experience and a place I'd definitely come back to. read more

Bad service. Expensive "sushi" place in WestChase. $40+ per person for a small menu is not going to keep people coming back. The atmosphere and decor is nice. Seating is ample, decor is modern, but wait staff is hard to understand. My waiter needed a little more training in the menu and how to best serve the public. Your options here are a la carte or all-you-can-eat sushi and appetisers. I had heard about this place going in the old Burger21 location, so I thought I would give it a try. The rolls average (a la carte) around $10-18 a piece, plus the appetiser menu left a lot to be desired (not a lot to choose from). I instead just chose the AYCE sushi. By the way, the California roll is almost $15 for imitation crab. Yikes. I ordered miso soup and three rolls. The soup came quickly and was fine. Nothing bad - just plain miso soup. The rolls took forever. This was mid-day, around 1 pm and there were only four other customers in the restaurant. I was unsure why the order was taking so long, as I purchased simple rolls - very uncomplicated - and there were three sushi chefs making rolls. The sushi arrived. There were only four pieces per roll, and the rice was VERY thick on the outside. I wondered why they choose to batter the thick rice coat with sesame seeds (again, not out of the ordinary) with entirely way too much seeds. The sushi was hard to eat and almost dry and hard to swallow. The rice and seed coating was not good. It was entirely just too much. I eventually did order more sushi, but my waiter gave me a weird look when I did so - almost as if he was trying to say something... I ordered two more "rolls". They came out the same way. I was not happy with the product or the service. I will not be going back. If you are reading this, then you should know is it not an authentic Japanese restaurant. The Brazilian owners opened one in Hialeah, FL first and decided to open one here, with little regard to residents and pricing structure. They missed the mark here. The owners hope you feel "elevated" so you'll miss the fact that you are paying more when you pay can less - for better sushi - at other sushi joints around town. read more

Temak House is a really unique, and interesting restaurant addition to the Westchase area. I had read some early reviews on the equally interesting Westchase Facebook page that were less than flattering, so I took my time visiting in order to let the new restaurant finds its groove. I tried the "all you can eat" option, which was a ridiculously inexpensive $35 or so. First off, they've completely renovated the former Burger 21 location and it looks phenomenal. No bar (sushi nor alcohol), but plenty of seating and impressively clean. Super friendly staff at the door, table service and behind the sushi bar. Also very attentive servers, and helpful to us our first time in. I had a nice chilled sake, and they serve Sapporo beer with a modest selection of wines. I'm not a sushi expert but the menu is very thorough with a nice selection of appetizers, rolls, specialty rolls, nagiri, etc. We sampled EVERYTHING, and enjoyed it all... tempura, nigiri and a variety of rolls. I'm surprised that people complain about the pricing structure, again I think it's actually inexpensive if you order a couple of rolls, an appetizer and some nigiri? Sushi is slightly more loosely rolled than I'm accustomed to but I genuinely enjoyed the food, the presentation and the "vibe" in the restaurant. Absolutely give this place a try (or try it again, if you went in just after opening), I think you'll find it far better than its current 3.1 rating here on Yelp, I'm a strong 4.6 on this new spot... Food was good but... 1) dishes were dirty, we had to wipe it clean with the napkin 2) Service: my water was never refilled. They cleared the extra plants but never noticed my half empty and empty glass. The place is not even that big that four waiters pass by an no one ask or noticed my empty glass. 3) Tip: for party of two, 20% tip was already included, never seen it before , may it is a new standard. Saw that this was an AYCE sushi fusion place that opened up close to where I lived, so I decided to give it a try. For me, it was a pretty middle of the road experience. Some good things, definitely very kind and friendly servers. Consistently check to make sure you have drinks, see if you need additional orders, and they do a great job of clearing away used plates. The restaurant itself is very modern and very nice. Super nice and clean bathrooms. The food itself was ok though. They have a decent amount of options, some of which you won't find at other restaurants owing to their Brazilian and Japanese fusion. But I think they were a bit understaffed. I ordered several rolls and they didn't show up until close to the end. Additionally, I felt like a lot of items tended to be overly sweet or too heavy on the Mayo and cream cheese. That sort of took away from the fish in my opinion. Finally, the price was a little too high compared to other AYCE places. Had the price been $4 dollars cheaper, I think I would be more ok. But at $42, it definitely is a rather steep price to pay. Overall, an ok place. But I think pricing may need to be adjusted a little and a little bit more staff on hand to keep up with the sushi orders. read more

My wife and I visited on a Sunday afternoon. We've lived in Westchase for a while and were excited to have an all-you-can-eat option so close to home. The ambiance was beautiful, the restaurant was very clean, and overall, we really enjoyed our experience. Most of the dishes we tried were delicious--there were only a few that weren't to our taste, but they didn't take away from the experience considering how much we liked the rest. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that our server occasionally brought out items we didn't order. Since there's a $2 fee for unfinished items, that could have been an issue. However, when we politely sent the extras back, the staff was very understanding and kind. Overall, it was a great visit, and we'll definitely be back read more

It is a new sushi place. The place was clean and spacious. But the concept they have did not work for us. If you want to all you can eat sushi, it is great. But if you want to order from the menu, it is a disaster. I think they should just be an all you can eat sushi place and all will be ok for the kitchen, the wait staff, and the customers. Our waitress was polite and nice, but the way orders were taken for our large table were completely disorganized. Instead of taking all orders at once, she only did it per tab and missed a couple of people twice! We were only 12 and we had 3 tabs. The orders came at different times, and the appetizers together with the main course. The sushi was ok. But all of the items from the menu didn't have much flavor. This sushi restaurant opened recently in Westchase. It is unusual in sushi restaurants, in that it only serves rolls, no sashimi or nigiri. Every roll has sauce on it. I think this might be a California tradition. We find the same thing out there. The rolls are very good, and you can order smaller sections, two pieces at a time of each roll. This is great for trying different combinations. We recommend this restaurant if you are anywhere near Westchase. It is in the old Burger 21 location, if you remember them! read more

Went to Temak House and enjoyed the AYCE sushi for lunch on a Sunday. It was $41.99 per person plus drinks. We ordered several rolls which come 4 an order, appetizers, joy joys, and their octopus tepenyaki. Food and service were great! This is not your traditional Japanese restaurant. However if you would like to enjoy some great sushi for AYCE it's a great option. I would recommend the sangria, tacos, any of the rolls, and the joy joy rolls. read more

The sushi was not good the appetizers seemed to be frozen food that was fried. The service was crazy they kept giving us the wrong food. All I can say is DO NOT GO. NOT GOOD!!!! read more

The space itself is clean and well done. The service leaves much to be desired. My daughter and I came for lunch. We were one of 4 tables. It took forever to get water. It took even longer to get food and they kept bringing the wrong food to our table. I watched them just deliver the wrong foods to other tables and they would just take it off the wrong table and place it on the correct table, even after someone touched it. I had to repeatedly ask for my daughter's water to be refilled. We asked for extra napkins and they never came. I waited 20 minutes for 1 roll after telling them we needed a quick lunch and then just winded up canceling because I can't spend 2.5 hours for lunch. They tried to charge me $35 for my 9 year old. Trust me when I say go to Kingdom Sushi if you want Brazilian style. First time today and our server was terrible. Also, about half of our orders never arrived or came out wrong. The server had to re-enter our order and even after a second time dishes came out incorrect and one never showed up. Some of the dishes were good, but most were just meh for the price. Fail on the service and the kitchen. Management needs to see why orders are dropping out of the system and coming out incorrect. Server hardly paid attention or cared and never offered refills when our cup was empty for half of the service. read more

We love supporting local businesses especially ones that open in locations that have been hard to keep restaurants. We came for lunch, there were no other customers. There is not a lunch menu on the weekends. I did not see a poke bowl so I asked and the waitress handed me the order pad and had me choose from there. Limited options for a bowl and she did not know much about the different ingredients. Placed order, waited for our order. My husbands got be to box comes out 5 minutes before my cold bowl. Waitress forgets the sauce, she sat on her phone in the corner and the chef had to get her attention to bring us the sauce. Drinks empty and again we had to disturb her phone scrolling to ask for a refill. Asked for the check twice. One other couple walked in, stayed to ask questions about menu and eventually walked out. Kind of wished we followed suit. Unfortunately will not try again. $50.00 for a subpar lunch and horrible service. read more
