SCAMMERS! THESE GUYS ARE WORSE THEN CAR SALESMEN!…read more Bought phones, case protectors, etc...Was being helped by Frank he was very nice I had no issues with him, he helped us a lot we picked our phones and everything he gave us a price for everything, then his cousin Patrick comes in the store and takes over the sale? We were told one price by Frank but charged another price by Patrick, when I tried to mention to Patrick that the price for the plans was wrong, he just kept saying trust me, trust me. When I asked for a contract to see what exactly they were charging us for the phones, plans etc...I was told they don't have contracts, the only proof of purchase they gave me was the credit card receipt. So as soon as I got home I checked my account to see what exactly they charged me for, and the amount charged was different then what we paid. So I called their customer service and when they looked into the account they saw we were was overcharged, apparently they added phone insurance and long distance on all the phones which I never asked for, and I was doubled taxed! So customer service told me to return to the store and ask for a refund since they have a 14 days return/refund policy. Next day I went back, no manager so we were told to come back the next day. Next day we go back in and talk with the manager Sam, who instantly said they didn't overcharge us, and they did nothing wrong, I told him I was recording the whole time and I have proof we were overcharged, he said he didn't care. I told him customer service said that we qualified the 14 day return/refund policy, but he tried to con me again and tell me that to qualify for the 14 days refund policy we would have had to paid the full price for the phones, and that since the phones were free they didn't qualify for the 14 days return policy, yet this is not stated anywhere in their terms and conditions for a return/refund, and customer service confirm the phones don't have to be paid in full in order to qualify for the refund. I told him fine I will call the police because this was clearly a case of fraud/scam. So, I called the police and you want to know how nasty this guy Sam is, while waiting for the police I ask Sam if I could wait in the store for the police he said yes at first, then told me to get out of the store when he heard me talking to customer service on the phone, it was like 110F in the shade outside and I am terminally ill (cancer, bad heart) and he kicked me out in the heat which could kill me, even after I told him this he said he didn't care he wanted me out. Of course police came but they really couldn't do anything other then try and mediate and file a case for court which I appreciated, all i ask for was my money back. Word of advice, if you go to this store, or any other METRO store, record the transaction with another phone and/or have someone with you to witness the purchase, and ask them to itemized everything on paper prior to paying and make sure to get a full statement receipt NOT just a credit/debit card receipt. Now if they do scam you and they refuse to refund you, dispute the charges with your bank or credit card company, also make sure to report the store to the Attorney General, BBB, FTC, Consumer Affairs etc.. Oh and by very careful, don't give them your old phone if your porting your phone number they will change your password to your account and impersonate you to gain access to your other carrier's account which is fraud. BTW, if you don't believe me, look at the lowest reviews on here I'm not the only one that they've done this too, and I'm sure there are more people who just never notice they got scammed, Also google METROPCS lawsuit, the company has been sued before because too many of their authorized retailers were all doing the same deceptive sales practices like bait and switch, and that's why they changed their name from METROPCS to METRO by T-mobile. ***This review is for METRO by T-mobile @ 2850 Pine Grove Ave. Port Huron MI.
