"effectively turned nine floor joists into 2x6's; didn't reconnect the air ducts...just left them sitting so it looked like they were connected. I checked before the ceiling went up; cut a floor joist completely through and left it hanging, hidden behind abs pipe they installed.

They did a great job of the installation the Plenum I believe it's called looked good. I was happy then. A couple of years ago I asked them to come in and install a nest thermostat in a different location. All was good. Today not good at all. Since the beginning of summer I had requested service to clean up the ductwork and create a new vent to satisfy a city building permit requirement . I was given the estimate amount I asked when would they be available to do the work. ThenI waited . I waited a couple of months. I reached out to them yet again and I was told they were on vacation that they would call me back the following week. they never called me back. In the meantime I had been asked to remove everything from the basement, including the new Ikea kitchen to make way for the work to be done. I don't know if you've ever seen an IKEA kitchen in boxes but it's huge, there's a lot of boxes and it's very heavy and I'm an old woman. I brought all those boxes upstairs. Since they did not respond I returned all of the boxes to the basement. Now when I see their trucks drive-by I make a point of glaring at them. I hope they read this so they understand why. No I no longer recommend this company.

We called to have our furnace looked at as we had no heat. When the technician came he said the…read morethere was a major part that needed to be replaced but it was under warrantee. It took several days to get the part in and once it was installed I was handed a bill for $2000. I was told that $500 of that bill was to return the old part to the manufacturer. Upon investigating I found out that the manufacturer covers the cost of returning defective parts under warrantee and this repair should have been around $500 to $600. I requested an itemized bill from them and was told that they don't do that and was ignored when I made further inquiries. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Within the next hour, he diagnosed and explained the problem, got the heat running, knowledgeably and efficiently answered all our questions, helped us ( through a low-pressure conversation) choose the best replacement furnace for our home and while waiting to be sure the furnace was going to run efficiently, he put a new switch on the fireplace. This was my first time using Adams, as I have used another local plumber several times before. I…read morecontacted them through Yelp, which was a first, after being told by several other plumbers that they either were unable to do the work, or were well over a month out to do so. I had a shower valve on an older shower that needed to be replaced, it was a bit of an emergency. To be frank, they were the only entity that said they could do it that day. A lady contacted me back quickly and was up front with the fact their employees were on another job, but would stop by after. They were also up front with the price - $165 an hour. Now, I'm not sure if that was due to the emergency or if that was the regular call rate, but it did take me back. That said, I agreed, the lady asked what type of unit I had (a Moen) and I waited roughly about two and half hours before the men came to work on it. The two young men that came were very professional, asked what preliminary work I had done, and what the issue was. The unit inside the valve was evidently completely broken, and they had the correct part to fix it. Bottom line, they were able to complete the job within an hour, and with parts it was about $260. All in all, I was pleased with the overall work. Was it more than I wanted to pay? Yes, but I couldn't argue with the work done and the result, which is a better working valve than I originally had.
