This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at a Telus location. The staff were unhelpful, rude, and completely uninterested in supporting customers. It felt like they were there to upsell or charge for basic assistance rather than actually help. Instead of guiding customers, they make you feel like you're inconveniencing them by asking basic questions. I have currently been on the phone, passed around from agent to agent for 1.5 hours and still no resolution, after already speaking with them on 3 other occasions regarding this matter. They told me yesterday that they will have a technician come out today and that technician cancelled on me very last minute, prompting my call back to them today. I have received several different explanations as to why there have been so many delays. I have never experienced such a terrible client experience. I have asked to cancel my service and they told me I would need to pay over $300 in fees if I want to do that- for a service I am currently not receiving. Unfortunately there is a lack of internet providers in my province and I am stuck with one of two terrible options. Telus should really reevaluate how they choose to do business.

They claimed that I was getting "high speed internet" but keeping a log of speed tests with their own internet server (bad way to do a test on an internal network) showed my average speed was less than 200 kbps. Dialup would have been about 40kbps. High speed should have been more like 2000 kbps or 2Mbps. Their service never ever came close to that. When I called customer service the attitude was always "it's not the network's fault, it's your hardware's fault. Your radio is working just fine." Or your speed test numbers are wrong... we show you did log in on that date but the test numbers are different than what you're saying they are." Strange since I would always log the number EXACTLY as what their speed test returned to me. Well I'd finally had enough and cancelled my service in September. Despite my call the service was not cancelled and they continued to bill me until December. They allege that they told me in September that there was an amount outstanding on my bill for September and that they could not cancel the service until that was paid off. At no time did anyone tell me that on the phone. They claim they have the call recorded but say they cannot provide me with a copy of that recording. Seriously? They're a computer tech company and they have no way (or no knowledge) of how to get an audio file off of their own system? C'mon. Maybe try putting a pocket recorder up to the phone receiver if you're that inept. At any rate, they claim I never cancelled the account until November and will not give me a refund for October and November. Today I called them about the December charge and they tell me it was a refund and my bank must have screwed up. Seriously? I think VISA has a pretty good handle on what's a refund and what's a charge. Pathetic technical service and pathetic customer service. Slow internet speeds and huge attitude of "we can do no wrong, it's all your fault." Stay far, far away from this company. Oh, and by the way.. when I had my new ISP hook me up they looked at the hardware Hotlink/Tera-Byte was using and said it was at least five years out of date and likely the primary reason I couldn't get good internet speed.

We decided to move to Shaw Business this past summer. The transition went relatively smoothly except for our fax line. We have been trying for over 8 months to get Siplink to release our fax number to Shaw and they have repeatedly told us that they released the number, while Shaw says they haven't. It turns out our fax number is resold through a company called "Nu-Dawn" and they need to release it in order for Shaw to reactivate it. Suprise, surprise... Siplink was previously named "NuDawn," and even knowing that we know this information they still refuse to release the number.
