Don't go to this office if you value empathy and compassion!!! If I could give them zero stars, I would. I took my small dog there early Friday morning, after he experienced numerous seizures during the previous last several hours. The first guy I interacted with had zero personality, empathy or compassion. The doctor gave him anti seizure medication and sent me to the ER due to my dog's swollen eye. I was in a hurry to leave and get him to the ER however, Melinda quickly spoke up and reminded me that I needed to pay them first. That is understandable however, when I asked why the bill was so high, she practically sneered at me and stated that it is due to the emergency fee. I questioned, but it was normal business hours? Melinda stated it is because I didn't have an appointment, ok, I get it. I don't agree with it but that is true, I didn't have an appointment. I was given no paperwork prior to my departure. Imagine my disappointment and disgust upon opening the email from the Teller Park and reviewing the statement and finding not only a $130 emergency fee but an additional $76 sick fee. I may be just a dumb cop, but it should be either, not both. This is a perfect example of greed. My boy was only in this office for 25 minutes and I was charged an exorbitant amount of money. read more

The staff also treated my dog using "fear free" techniques so her experience was as pleasant as possible. Dr. Lemons treated my dog Cowboy, who we found on a Navajo reservation dying, back in 2002. She did a surgery on his hip and did an incredible job. His leg healed marvelously. He went on to be able to use his leg fully for his entire life and lived with us for 13 years. We moved from the area to Denver, but came back now, and again, had a great experience with her treating our cat Bella for a serious, possibly life-threatning liver condition that often takes months to resolve. Everyone in the clinic was very caring and considerate and we are happy to say that after almost a month Bella is nearly back to normal. We are very happy with Dr. Lemons and the clinic and thank them for saving our beloved Bella! read more

We are extremely disappointed with the lack of care given to our animals. Over the years, we have rationalized and justified the dismissive treatment. In the last month, we have spent approximately $1,500 for vet services (4 animals' vaccinations and 1 cat's dental extractions). This is a lot of money for us, but we were willing to pay for good treatment. On the day of our cat's surgery, we were told 3 different times that they would contact us to let us know how our cat was doing. No one called. We called and were made to feel like we were being irritating - you know, concerned about our cat. They did call that day - only to say it would be an extra $100. We were told that someone would call within two days after his surgery to check on him. Someone called day 3 - told her he had significant swelling. She could have cared less - said to call if he didn't get better. Yes, very disappointed. We really feel like they are only concerned with making a buck. We will be asking for our pets' records to be transferred to a different/better/caring vet. read more

Dr. Lemons was almost an hour behind on an appointment for my cat, periscope. She charged me $20 to trim my cats nails, yet only clipped her front paws. The customer service at this establishment is terrible and one of the receptionists is incredibly nosey and downright creepy. For the record, It is socially unacceptable to bring religion into casual conversation with my husband while charging his credit card. Sidenote: Dr. Lemons thought another cat of ours who ended up having lymphoma had "three kidneys". read more

Bad experience! Their incompetence caused my dog to suffer from infections in her mouth after dental surgery because they neglected to prescribe antibiotics, plus she got bloody diarrhea from the stress from these people. They are also very expensive compared to more reputable, more experienced vets. We ended up taking our dog elsewhere to get proper care for a lot less. read more

After many years of coming here, a car accident took the life of our beloved dog. He was taken to Teller Park Vet with major injuries but was released, without permission, a couple hours later, to an unauthorized person. That dog later died because of injuries that could have been treated if someone took the time to actually throughly check the dog. He would still be alive today if his injuries were immediately addressed. Money should not be a factor in taking care of any animal. read more

I have had a lot of pets in my lifetime and have needed services for different cats and dogs over the years and all over the country. Never, have I had an office treat me and my sick dog so kindly. They were positively wonderful. The office is warm and inviting and the people there very kind. They put my Mo down so very gently and were careful with me while I fell apart. Absolutely the worst treatment I have ever experienced from a vet office, I am appalled by the deceptiveness of the doctors and the so-called office manager. I brought my puppy in for first shots and was made to believe that everything is fine and was expecting them to call for the next round of shots. Instead of that I called them back three weeks later because I heard nothing back, well today the office manager told me that my puppy wasn't good enough to be seen again and that the doctors don't want me or any of my animals around. All this began when I asked them if they could help one of my dogs that has the rabbit virus, I got a call back message that was about four minutes long about how they have never heard of the rabbit virus and good luck getting your dog help. I wouldn't recommend this vet , there is something seriously wrong with the doctors and staff to reject the second round of shots for my adorable puppy. read more

We went to Teller Park Veterinary Service for the first time yesterday, and were extremely pleased with the experience! Our two dogs are quite large and quite goofy, but everyone seemed to enjoy them and their goofiness! We saw Dr. Burke, and were impressed with the time and care she took with the dogs and with us. So grateful for the excellent emergency care provided for Chloe, our micro-mini schnauzer by Dr. Brooks and her staff. We were graciously welcomed on a Saturday morning, the diagnosis was thorough and professional. Through the 90 minute process, Dr. Brooks or one of the staff members, updated me at least five times. Chloe is feeling much better today, stabilized and at the doctor's recommendation, will be having surgery when we return to Florida. Dr. Brooks even contacted our vet to share her diagnosis and the steps she had taken. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased and grateful. read more

Just moved in the area and asked the locals who they go to for vet services. The name that kept coming up was Dr. Lemons. Had an emergency situation with my dog and took him to Dr. Lemons. The office staff were welcoming, offered coffee, and were encouraging and comforting. Dr. Lemons was very thorough with the exam and explained exactly what was going on and what my options were. Bad experience! Not only is Teller Park Veterinary Service way more expensive than other veterinary services but, their lack of experience and incompetence also made my dog needlessly suffer from two side effects bloody diarrhea and vomiting that brought more co-pays and more prescription cost over their already expensive previous charges. We ended up taking our dog to a reputable veterinary clinic in town that quickly identified the problem as an infection caused from the extraction of 4 teeth in the dental surgery and the lack of antibiotics that Teller Park Veterinary Service neglected to prescribe. The new vet was shocked by what we were charged by Teller Park Veterinary Service for the services we received and puzzled why they didn't prescribe antibiotics? According to the new vet, infection is very common after dental surgery and that's consistent with what our out of state veterinary friends are saying that they "wouldn't have even considered sending a patient home after dental surgery or cleanings without antibiotics!" This also coincides with our past experience with the same issue. We've had dental surgery on our dog before at our previous vet that cleaned and pulled 7 teeth and they prescribed antibiotics, and it was half the price of Teller Park Veterinary Service with no side effects, extra cost or suffering. At the end of the day, the new vets co-pay and prescription cost combined was less than Teller Park Veterinary Service's co-pay alone and my dog finally got some much-needed relief. Never going back to Teller Park Veterinary Service again and would never recommend them! We felt nickeled and dimed, ripped off and suffered because of their incompetence, it was just an awful experience all the way around! read more

I have tried to work with this vet for two years and overlook some of the monetary demands that seem to plague me when I try to get services for my dogs. Every time that I try to get refills for my dogs, I am always required to spend MORE money on unnecessary blood work and exams before I can get a refill. I feel like I have been blackmailed and my dogs meds held hostage until I come in for services above and beyond an annual exam. I miss Bijou Animal Hospital in Colorado Springs and feel that the 40 mile drive may be worth it just to get some decent and humane veterinary services for my dogs. I called today to get refills for Apoquel and was told that they need to come in for an exam before they will be refilled. I tried to explain to the "manager" that one dog isn't due until January, the other dog is due next spring. Instead of reasoning, my dogs will now go without meds until I spend MORE money for their 'annual exam' that in reality isn't due. read more

I would like to thank Dr. Lemons and her staff for helping my dog, Diamond. Diamond is a ten year old border collie. Dr. Lemons removed a lick granuloma on top of her right paw in March. Now two months later it is completely healed and Diamond is doing great. We used a cone during the first six weeks of healing to prevent her from licking it. Dr. Lemons also designed a two piece cast which also prevented Diamond from licking on the incision. The hair has grown back and she no longer licks her foot! The surgery Dr. Lemons did was beautiful. This was quite a large growth that had to be removed, and there is hardly even a scar. Awesome! I commend Dr. Lemons' skill as a surgeon and as a caring veterinarian, also as a lover of animals. I'm always very happy with the care my animals receive at Teller Park Vet Service. The entire staff is great.They must be, as I drive 41 miles one way for them to see and care for my dog! Thanks to Dr. Lemons and her staff, my dog Diamond is back to her old self, happy and no longer licking her foot.
