As a 25 year veteran staff nurse, I am very tough on the Health care system, for good reason. I…read morehave heard thousands of complaints over the years. I recently interviewed and accepted a position at St.Joe's Trinity Ann Arbor. I was amazed and cried saying, "They're finally listening." There are so many advances in this hospital and they aren't just fluff. They're real and being used every day. To start, there are more staff with beneficial variations to staff positions, more training, very nice accommodations for patients including no more than 2 to a room. Significant advances to the menus and various food options for patients, families, and staff. Did you know, They grow their own herbs and vegetables on the campus of the hospital. Management has become more active on the units and have no problem answering call lights or helping where they are needed. There are updates to the TV's, availability of all genres of music to listen to, and to be able to go outside. We have state of the art technologies to keep the staff safe. There are a whole lot of problems in health care. I can really see that the people here at St. Joe's Ann Arbor are really working to be better. It is my hope and prayer that we continue to make these tremendous strides to provide excellent care and comfort to all. I am very excited to start this new chapter of my career and be a part of the Trinity Ann Arbor family. I just wanted to take a moment to point out what's going right so far. Thanks for reading.

I was not disputing the amount, just taking time closing accounts and transferring funds. Today, MARCH 6TH, I got a letter from a COLLECTION AGENCY. 15 days BEFORE the bill is due, I now have to deal with a collection agency. I have to keep copies, files, send a letter of validation of debt, maybe even hire an attorney to protect me against this shady collection agency. I'm not going down quietly. I sent letters to Trinity, my state senator and will also send one to the Attorney General's Consumer Complaint Division. Trinity's GREED is horrible. Supposedly, a Christian hospital. Truth in advertising, change your name to, It's All About The Money.

This review to clarify is mainly for the wait time to transition from ER to a bed for an elderly…read moreparent took over 13 hours. She spent that time waiting on a gurney in the ER hallway. There is absolutely no justification for this type of treatment or service. The care and the room upon getting to the room is very good but the wait time is horrific and unjustifiable though one of the nurses said it's been that way since Covid but I still don't understand how a "professional " healthcare system anywhere can operate in this manner. Administrative and Operational improvements are greatly needed. Hospitals should not be operating in this fashion, simply inexcusable.

Per his treating physicians, he ended up dying as a result of a massive brain bleed due to a Heparin overdose sometime during the night. One of the doctors indicated that there could have been an issue with communication between the computer in his room and the pharmacy. When asked by the doctors, who were both very remorseful, what I wanted, I said I wanted to know what went wrong to assure this error doesn't happen to anyone else. They stated the matter would be reviewed and that the resulting information would be shared with me. To this day, no one has reached out to me. I have been in contact with both Patient Relations and Risk Management, both departments assuring me that someone will call me--but still no call. Here is the mission of Trinity Health: We serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. Among their Core Values are reverence, justice, and integrity. If someone would reach out, I would tell them that I am not interested in money, but by their lack of response, it seems that they have most certainly made it their priority.

Temperature was taken at the entrance and masks were mandatory. Took token and waited in the lobby to be called. The check-in process was smooth. The reception staff was polite and welcoming. All the Patients for Radiology, lab and Urgent care were seated in the same lobby maintaining distance. The waiting area was full on a weekday morning. Waited to call my name for the lab work and the wait was forever. They were extremly slow and took nearly 1 hour to be called. But lab work was quick, done in 2 minutes. RN I encountered was helpful and prompt with the care. I hardly felt a poke, she was warm and pleasant.

You are sick but not quite sick enough for an ER. It is a Saturday morning and your doc is of…read morecourse not in the office, the doc on his service is useless. What is a girl to do? Come to the urgent care here at SJM Canton. This is a great place for that kind of situation. I have been here several times myself and always get great care. My fave doc in here is Dr Gupta, who clearly knows his stuff. You do not get to request though, you get who you get. Wait times can vary but they are nowhere near what you will encounter at St Joes, U of M or St Marys. Besides I think ERs are meant for clear emergencies and so that is what I use them for. My raging sinus infections, bronchitis, strep, UTIs, stitch/glue worthy cuts, stepping on a embroidery needle or having a twisted ankle can be handled here instead. Anything you cannot wait to be seen for but not ultra serious. If they deem you more serious they will get you in stat at St Joes from here no worries. Generally I am in and out rather quickly, can swing by CVS on my way home and am back resting in bed in no time. They will write notes for work and are great for helping with those things you need a doc for when your doc is not in service. Be warned they are super pokey about test results and you will probably have to bug them to get any directly. All in all though a good place.
