Went for Cataract surgery, got the best lens available, spent over $6000. for one lens/eye, And my vision is crap!! Was led to believe that it would be like the multi-focal lens giving me both distance and close up but that's not what happened! Dr. Reynolds setup my lens for distance only and now I have to use reading glasses. If I had known this, I would have gone with the simple lens for about $1000. with the same result. What a ripoff!! Since my other eye won't be ready for years for cataract surgery, I wanted a contact lens; who would have thought that I would have to pay for a piece of paper to get the prescription, plus an additional doctor visit fee. As another patient had stated, they are only interested in making money not looking out for the individual patients. read more

Appointment date, October 15, 2025 Dr. Selliyan was extremely rude, arrogant, impatient, and acted superior to me. I would start a sentence, and he would cut me off. He cut me off approximately 10 times, never allowing me to finish a sentence. I asked him to allow me to finish speaking several times and he cut me off again. He wasn't interested in listening to me and didn't like my questions. He treated me as an inferior person. When I tried to explain I was learning about the process so I could decide about which lens would be needed and timing for the surgery, together or waiting until the cataract in the right eye matured enough for surgery. He cut me off again telling me we have to plan for both eyes. As I tried to acknowledge and understand, he told me he felt there was going to be a problem with us getting along. I felt attacked and he did not want to treat me unless I just listened to him and didn't ask questions. He was combative and expressed that he felt there would be more contention. So, upset and not understanding why he was being so arrogant and acting supremely with me, I acknowledged he wanted me to leave; he didn't want me as a patient. I was in the office for an hour and ten minutes. I spent with Dr. Selliyan approximately five minutes and he denied me a few minutes to speak so I could develop an understanding to be able to decide on whether I needed to do both eyes or one. I called to speak with the Office Manager and report the incident and asked if Dr. Tekwani would be able to do the surgery. She indicated that she would talk to Dr. Tekwani on Friday, October 17, 2025, and let me know. I never received a response. I want to make others aware of the arrogancy and belittlement of a customer by Dr. Selliyan, and the non-existent follow-up by the Business Manager and the Owner Dr. Tekwani. Dr. Reynolds was great in the eye exam with quality care and addressing issues. When I went to pick up glasses they weren't aligning correctly but Michelle was patient and courteous helping me and explaining how to use them to get the most out of them. Michelle had the glasses adjusted so they were aligning correctly and explained how to use them at various distances to my best advantage. I have been wearing progressive lenses for about 20 years and no one ever explained how to use them like she did and she was extremely patient in doing so! Michelle is AWESOME!! I waited for 30 minutes after my appmt time then left. I'm tired of doc offices making appmts & expecting u to be on time but they're not held to that same standard. The worst Doctor and staff. Tekwani Destroyed my vision after cataract surgery. They want to sell multi focal lenses to you because that's how they make money. My vision was wiped out, I had to go to a new doctor, have his lenses removed, I've ended up with dizzy vision. He took no responsibility for his actions. RUN away from this office. No Kidding. I arranged for cataract surgery with Tekwani, as they're an in network provider for my insurance. They booked my surgery at an outpatient surgery center, rather than an in network hospital, that used a third party anesthesiologist. After *much* digging, I was able to determine that the the surgery center and anesthesiologist were out of network. I got vague assurances that they would negotiate with my insurance, write off most of the difference, and only stick me with a small amount. But that's not how it works. I'd have to sign a guarantee of payment and I'd be responsible for whatever they couldn't collect from my insurance. In fact, anesthesiologists are the primary source of "surprise billing," precisely because of this scam. They intentionally don't sign up as in network providers so they can bill patients whatever they like. I canceled my surgery with Tekwani and made arrangements with Barnes Jewish, as their resources are fully in network. I don't know if Tekwani gets a kickback for this arrangement, but it doesn't matter. It's unethical to put patients in this position, and not disclose it without serious digging, whether they benefit financially or not. I will never go to nor recommend Tekwani. read more

Do not come here! I went in for a new pair of contacts and my annual eye check. I never received any contacts or lenses. Called multiple times no answer from anyone or they would say whoever knew where my contacts were was out for the day. Although they can bill my insurance for all services including lense and contacts. Scammers. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Will be reporting to BBB. I'm sure they have a law suit coming their way. Doctors are great but front office staff lacks in customer service. I was told too busy to call and confirm appointments before visits.

Didn't make it to my appointment, because the girl who set my appointment told me the wrong location. When I called the office to address this, the same girl who set my appointment end up hanging up on me. Spoke with the office manager and she says, I can't see her hanging up on you. She's my best phone person and maybe she was having a bad day!! Best phone person?!?!?!? Your so called "Best phone person" not only told me the wrong location, but hung up on me. If that's your best, Wow! No one picked up on the fact there was an appointment hanging out there for the wrong location. Maybe if they would do reminder calls this would have been caught !! I stopped by to have a missing screw in my frame replaced. Unfortunately, the WHOLE office shuts down from 11-12. Apparently the office staff won't even recognize a walking during this time. I had to excuse myself the even get someone the look up. Then they couldn't help me. read more

Do Not count on them for telling all the facts on what remaining Balances you May have..They let me think it was all taken care of with my insurance..it was Not..Rude and have no answers why you and your insurance both pay?? I was so misled in my consultation on Bills that I may incur afterwards. And the Billing department could care less about about anything you were told..just pay your bill or it goes to collections..Run don't walk away from this place!!! You wont be sorry! read more

Had appointment scheduled for 1:30, arrived early as requested -- waiting until 2:11 pm was never seen by anyone, no "sorry we are running late", no "would like like to reschedule" no communication at all. They had taken my Driver's license and insurance card, so I had to retrieve them before leaving. I explained I could wait no longer --- and needed my cards back - I got them back, the person handing to me said not one word. As unprofessional as unprosessional can be. You'd rather go blind than rely on these people. read more

If less than 1 star were available I would give that. The care given there is acceptable and what you should expect. The billing department however is a trainwreck. Mary(the only person who seems to be in the billing department) doesn't appear to know how to return calls. When you do finally get ahold of her after calling several days in a row, she is completely unhelpful. The situation is two appointments appear to have been billed incorrectly. She's unwilling to look, research or even talk about what happened. She's rude, confrontational and doesn't want to help or even give the appearance of helping. If you do have the misfortune of having to use this facility, please expect your bill to be incorrect, incorrectly handled and probably fraudulently filed with your insurance carrier. I finally gave up and bill because it wasn't worth my continued frustration. Paying 70 dollars to never have to deal with Mary again is well worth it. read more

I live in west county. All my doctors were west county doctors. When my eye doctor suggested cataract surgery, I began researching eye surgeons. A retina specialist had suggested Dr. Navin Tekwani to a friend who also needed cataract surgery. I researched Dr. Navin Tekwni in Medicare records that are available online. I found that he did four times the number of cataract surgeries as my current eye doctor. I also found he did far more cataract operations than other big name west county doctors. So even though I don't live anywhere near the Tekwani office (it is in far south county) I made a visit with the doctor. His office was packed, but every one I spoke to in the office was very happy with the medical treatment received. Three weeks ago, Dr. Tekwani removed my cataract. Everything went smoothly, and my new vision is great. I highly recommend this doctor. read more

Dr. Navin Tekwani performed my double cataract surgery and my results have exceeded my expectations. Tekwani Vision was helpful in explaining the pros and cons of each type of lens. After doing additional research, I chose the multifocal IOL with the laser option and I don't need glasses for anything: reading, paperwork, computer work, driving, watching television. Colors are brighter, textures have more definition and... my clothes match! The process was well orchestrated from start to finish. The procedure was quick, painless, and it was like looking at an underwater sea adventure. The staff is friendly and compassionate; my aftercare was well-managed with a lot of teamwork. All the doctors in this practice are nice and each one offered a different perspective on my healing process. To preface this... I was born practically blind. You know that big "E" on the chart? Well that looks basically like a black fluff ball without my glasses or contacts... So needless to say I've been to my fair share of eye doctor appointments. I've been going to the same one most of my life, the one that diagnosed me when I was 15 months old. I was very attached to her, and her to me (since I was her first baby patient). Sadly, she went into only doing eye surgery, so I've been bounced around from one optomistrist to another for quite a few years. I've never found anyone who can really understand my eyes, and give them and I the proper attention they deserve. To get my vision dialed in, it usually takes quite a few attempts and corrections. This was my first try with Dr. Jessica Carson, and boy oh boy I was amazed. She was the best I have found since my first one. She took over an hour on my first appointment and really dialed the machine in. She didn't get annoyed with me when I would ask her to go back and forth several times when they were very close. When she finally got the lab to make my contacts exactly as she requested I can see as good as I ever could. I would recommend anyone to go see Dr. Carson in a heart beat. Not only is she great at what she does, but she is also very patient and friendly. read more

I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. I went for my first appointment 7 weeks ago for simply glasses and contact fitting. I first was supposed to see Dr. Navin Tekwani. After I was told he couldn't do a contact fitting on the original date, the office set up an appointment with Dr. Brooke Reynolds. On the day of my appointment, I filled out my forms and presented my insurance card. After waiting a long while, I was brought back to an examination room. In walks Dr. H.T. Tekwani, I thought he was there for some pre-exam screening as the office was quite busy that day. Before I knew, he told me the appointment was done. I left confused because I was supposed to see Dr. Reynolds. The contacts were not working so I called back. I asked why I didn't see Dr. Reynolds last time as they wanted me to have an appointment with her this time. Finally they tell me that only the two Tekwanis accepted my insurance, which they didn't tell during the first appointment. So I kept going back to get the contacts adjusted leading to the present. I am upset because I keep getting headaches from the contacts. I type every question and problem down on a piece of paper to explain the problems I have had. During the exam, Dr. Tekwani concludes I need toric lens, which I thought of two or three weeks ago because I keep have ghost images. He says that they don't really carry toric lens and that I should go to Wal-mart, Crown vision, or Clarkson Eyecare. So I just paid over a hundred dollars and spent seven weeks to be told to go to a different eyecare office. He also says they would not accept his prescription. Here I am now with basically nothing and the assistant comes in and says I owe 45 dollars for the new contact fitting. IT WAS A FOLLOW UP and I am going to have to pay for another contact fitting at a new eyecare place. Luckily, I convinced her of her mistake. In total, this has been a terrible experience. read more

My wife and I have been seeing Tekwani Vision for some time now and we've seen both Drs. Tekwani and most recently I've seen Dr. Jones. Everyone, including the staff, have always been respectful and courteous. I recently has cataract surgery and Dr. Navin Tekwani could not have made it any easier. It may seem strange but I have no fear or nervousness about my upcoming second surgery thanks to their expertise. read more
