Instead, the process dragged on for months. During that time, I had to constantly reach out for updates because I was almost never contacted first. Between text messages and more than 20 phone calls, I was repeatedly given new completion dates that were never met. Almost every conversation ended with another reason for the delay--whether it was recovery errors, replacement chips, syncing devices, transfer issues, emergency closures, waiting on parts, or being told it would be finished "tomorrow," "in a few hours," or "in a couple more days." Unfortunately, those promises kept getting pushed back. I understand that data recovery is complex and that unexpected problems can happen. My frustration isn't that the recovery was difficult--it's the lack of honest communication and realistic expectations. If the job was going to take months, I would have appreciated being told that from the beginning instead of repeatedly hearing that it was almost finished. I spent months following up through texts and over 20 phone calls, often being told I'd receive a callback that never came. I even rearranged my schedule multiple times to pick up the drive, only to find out it still wasn't ready. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. If you decide to use them, be prepared for significant delays and make sure you get realistic timelines before leaving your equipment with them.

Very reasonable pricing and he used everything he could from my old machine. The new machine was done the next day and runs great and looks great. Believe he is the tech and owner. Seems like a bright guy and I love to support small businesses. Initial thought was a corrupt windows issue. $40 diagnostic. Issue was more complex. Ended up replacing the motherboard, cpu, fan, and upgrading the ssd. Total new money $730 of which I think $180. Not sure if it is a fair/good/great deal? Updated what was allowed today but system is requiring me to activate windows for which I was not given a key. Awaiting response via online chat as computer is not functional as is. Holding off on final review. *Received windows key quickly. All appears to be running. If this transaction concludes well I do have other projects to get down and love referring friends and family.
